Sizzler — Restaurant in West Valley City

Well..was NOT disappointed I surprisingly & happily can say :) First time since the Nations ShutDown & ShutIn .2 1/2 years ago was the last we visited one of my steadily dependable eating establishments The SZ on Redwood. Happy to report the place was clean as a pen! Now, I may be a bit of a Snot when it comes to dinning..I make it a habit to notice everything upon entering & do a 20 second FBI sweep & yes..we have walked out..not here, but plenty of others joints ;( THE BEST TIME TO ARRIVE FOR DINNER, LATE LUNCH IS 4 TO 4:30...after that..you will wait in line, which always moves at a good pace. Nice new & old Menu & items..be sure & take time to read ENTIRE menu. They have Regular, Child, Senior (which offers nice discount..if order off Regular menu be sure & mention while PLACING order that you are a SENIOR 😇 LowCal & Gluten Sensitive..see on line. Portions same size, not micro cut like other places good size portions of meat & chicken A DELICIOUS Salad Bar including all you can eat options. Fresh ingredients,large amount of choices. 8 dressing choices, Taco Bar 4 soups choices & fresh sliced fruits Also a Taco Bar & last but not least All You Can Eat Hot Rolls or Hot Cheese Toast... my ♥️ And a fun ice cream & other goodies bar ;) Bottle Beer on menu too! Overcooked steak, disguised prices. We had a coupon for 2 - $9.99 meals. Much to our surprise, our meal came out to $34.00. The girl working the counter asked as we placed our order and showed our coupon, "What would you like to drink? Strawberry Lemonade? Coke? Etc.." To me, this implied 'your drink is included'. I was not asked, "WOULD you like a drink" or "would you like to ADD a drink"? Obviously if people order drinks, they tip more money, so the Sizzler girls are trained to push drinks. Also, the lemonade was $3.00. My wife, who normally NEVER orders anything but water even fell for the trick. Sizzler- 1, Craig - 0.

After adding onions and a loaded potato, our bill was loaded. THEN came the actual food and service. It took us a while to decide if we even had a waitress, good thing we waited... but she finally showed up and brought a dry piece of steak out, although I had ordered medium. The receipt said medium. Unfortunately, nobody told the chef, because he even put a 'well done' stick in the steak. I ate the sweet potato fries (which were quite good) and a salad as I waited for our MIA waitress to come back. After 10 minutes, I went and found the next employee I could, asking if I could get another steak. After 15 minutes, my food had settled and I was no longer hungry, by the time they brought my steak out to me (which may have been the most UNFLAVORFUL steak of my life). I am not hard to please, and am not a food critic... I mean I love steak at CHILI'S.... CHILI'S. I do not plan on...

I recently went to this location with my husband. We both ordered "All you can eat fish and chips" and my husband ordered the salad bar too. After our server took our ticket to get our drinks and brought me my soup we realized that our order was incorrect. We asked the server about it and he brought the manager over. By this time I had my food and my husband had a salad. The manager said that she would fix it. We waited for a very long time for her to come back and tell us that it was fixed and how she had to cancel the ticket and re-wring the whole thing.....then they brought my husband his food. Well as you can guess by this time he was full and my food was cold so I was finished with my basket of food. This is so wrong in so many ways.....I can hardly count them. Anyway, I had to search the server down and ask for anything I needed because he didn't come by to check on us. My husband could hardly eat any of his dinner so it was a waste of time and money. I had to find another server to even ask for a to-go box to take home my bread and then we left. We never did get offered more fish or fries or even a bowl of chowder. I think that it should have been handled differently so we didn't have to wait so long for my husbands food......nor should we have had to have our dinner interrupted with an explanation of how the manager fixed our ticket. It should have been handled much more...
