I mean, it's open, it's fine but the prices online are NOT accurate. Besides the kids menu there's nothing under $10 a plate. Which is fine, it's just not the same as what they claimed on the Google info.
Edit: after eating the food, I had to drop this to a one star. The chicken alfredo was TINY. My rail thin 11yo was hungry afterward. It was literally about a cup of pasta and one slice of chicken (not piece, SLICE), and two pieces of buttered toast. I had a gyro and I asked if it was a legit greek gyro and what I got was clearly a microwaved prepackaged gyro meat from who knows where. Plus it took nearly an hour to come out when we were one of only a few tables and several servers on the floor and when it did it was cold.
Kids french toast looked absolutely delicious. So I guess breakfast must be okay.
I just don't know where these people with good reviews are getting their food.
Edit after paying: the woman asked me if everything was good and I said not really and she just complained about how they were so busy. There was literally one table with people at it when we came in. She asked if I wanted anything to go and I said no, I won't be spending any more money here and she asked why all confused. Um, because it wasn't good. She said, oh I'm sorry you should have said something to your server. I probably would have if he ever came back after dropping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur family loves diner food. It's our go to food for comfort, celebrations and family gatherings. We discovered Jim's 8 years ago when we moved to West Valley. We have loved Jim's. Their scones are a staple! Tonight, we had a shocking experience with a server. While we were deciding what to order, our server was annoyed that we were taking too long. She continued to be rude throughout the order taking and told us to take our time, "It's not like we didn't have all night" She obviously didn't mean that though because she turned her back on me when I started to order and said she'd come back later. When she returned, she looked at me and said, "Are we going to have a problem Ma'am?" I told her I hadn't said or done anything. I just wanted to order. She continued to yell at me and then said that I had been "giving her eyeballs" since we had walked in. At this point my entire family was in shock. We were there to celebrate our family, and she was mocking my stepson for being slow and yelled at me for the look on my face. I paid $20 for the 5 drinks we had started (not finished) and we left and went to Dees where we spent an enjoyable evening. We will not be returning to Jim's. Dee's or Denny's or some other diner will be our comfort station.
Make sure you know what you want to eat in advance, and whatever you do, don't "give...
Read moreNice restaurant and service just the food seems to be a little bland and cheap tasting I had the CFS dinner and it was not as good as I remember it's been a long time since I have eaten there but the meal was bland the gravy tasted cheap and the veggies lacking flavor and potatoes were over peppered with the gravy also on top and a bit chunky for my liking the salad was as expected but was a hug salad for what I needed wife and I shared one and boxed the other and dressing ended up watered down from the wet lettuce the slit pea soup was gross 𤢠tasted like a canned or bagged soup also sampled the veg & beef soup was ok but also weak on the flavor. My mom and sister had steaks and they were cooked perfectly but also we're not very flavorful just bland charbroiled meat so all in all just don't expect a great tasting meal more of a fill your belly kinda place I fill there was so much food they could scale back just a bit for more quality over quantity. I probably should have just went for bacon and eggs that probably would have been more to my liking since that's a hard one to mess up and most of the time it's daily bacon at restaurants so can't go wrong...
