1st time ever there and I am not not critic, But... This definitely needs to be shared with the public and owners! I stopped by for lunch with a friend & I Absolutely loved the Beautiful state of West Virginia sports decor when we walked in. I was very grateful to see the seating availabilities they have to offer. A very nice 3 sided bar in the middle with lots of room to watch games, enjoy your grub & have a cold one. There are plenty of sit down tables in middle of sports bar, and my very favorite... plenty of high top tables (Either a Mountaineer or Thundering Herd table to choose from... I choose Mountaineers of course 😉) that surround outer wall. This is a great set up because you are guaranteed to see all TV's for the games or the big screen over hanging stage when a band is not playing, which I look fwd to seeing. Our waitress was very friendly and cheerful, she pointed out the owner to me but did not get a chance to meet him or his wife to tell them what a wonderful place they have!! Great menu selections, I Had the Calacinos Burger & I highly recommend you try it "it was over stunning delicious!! My friend had the Lobster Ravioli and reported it to be the best tasting they've ever tasted. I am a very Huge Wing Lover and when the waitress walked by with a plate loaded with wings, I lost all my concentration and my "wing senses" went off like crazy!! But I had already ordered. I was told cook was the waitress's son and he did an amazing stunning delicious job!! It is in a great good location and not very far from Interstate and Rt 19, plenty of motel/hotels very close by for out of towners or people traveling thru looking for a great place to go to. Rumor has it this place has been around for over 80yrs and after visiting here... I can most definitely see why. I wish I took pictures to share but I was totally blown away with how happy the place made me. I will most definitely be back very soon with more friends to tackle some of those wings, drink a cold one or two during a game and maybe I'll get a chance to tell the owners how much I loved my visit & what an amazing place the provide for thier town, state &...
Read moreBeen coming several weeks consistently with large parties for karaoke night. This week had a party of 7. Waitress saw us come in and because she waited our table last week and knows we’re generous tippers immediately sought my husband out and followed him to his seat, did not acknowledge the table but made sure she got his favorite drink for him 😳 She was also in shorts so high that her butt cheeks were hanging out the bottom. Do you have a dress code? This is a family friendly kareoke night where children come in as well to sing! Had a table full of food, drinks, and drinks from the bar and was told to take my Stanley cup of monster outside. I explained what it was and that it was not sold at the restaurant and that we are paying customers with a whole table full of stuff and if my one drink not being bought from there was an issue I would take my business elsewhere, even put it in their regular restaurant cup and took my cup outside to resolve the problem of having outside cups inside that they said they don’t allow. Bar tender Johnny Ince comes back to my table and says something to me about it again after it was already over and says “come on you know you can’t bring your own cup in a restaurant and proceeded to accuse me of having alcohol in my cup. When I stated back to him you have no idea what’s my cup? He yelled for the waitress to cash me out and stomped off and disengaged the conversation as in I was cashed out and kicked out for drinking a monster inside the restaurant. Same waitress proceeds to bring us our bill and apologized saying they were just yelling at her and we tipped her very well last week so she was sorry. We paid for our things and my husband walks back in and asks him what the problem is, cup has been outside and problem had already been resolved. He then says he didn’t kick me out or cash me out and lies right in my face to my husband because he was confronted and throws the waitress under the bus and says she’s the one who wanted to cash us out. As it stands right now I will not give the restaurant anymore of my business from the way I was treated. Attempted to contact management...
Read moreI chose this restaurant because of the background it had on the website and most of the reviews raved it. So I ordered online for delivery, ordered a small pizza, fettuccini alfredo, gyro, and two side salads. Salads lacked taste. Very bland HUGE chunks of lettuce some wilted others not, no croutons (although menu said they were included). No thousand island dressing on the menu, so I called. They did have it I just needed to notate it on my online order in which I did. Got no thousand island. Pizza was good. Fettuccini Alfredo lacked taste. Tasted more like thickened heavy cream — no garlic or parmesan flavor! Gyro was ok took a while (once eating) to get to any tzatziki sauce. When I called the restaurant about the dressing the girl that answered was not very pleasant.I had to call back a second time as my delivery said it would arrive at about 8:15pm I called back at about 8:40pm and the grubhub driver was just getting there and she was just the man putting things together. Finally got my order exactly at 9:00pm. Not from this area, but I do frequent it about twice a year. This restaurant won’t be on my go to list again.
Update: Since posting my review last night (1/2/2021), I apparently had someone nasty respond. First off I would like to apologize it was not grubhub. It was DoorDash. You can’t tell you do not use them because I do have a screenshot of my receipt I could provide. Second, I do not have family that has ever worked here or lived in this area. If someone with the last name of Cox has worked there then it happens to be completely a coincidence. And I’m sorry you feel the need to accuse a customer in the manner that you did. I will contact the restaurant at this point because again you do not accuse customers. I do not know who this restaurant has controlling and handling their reviews. But that is certainly not the wait to respond to...
