Husson's Pizza - Cross Lanes — Restaurant in West Virginia

After some shopping, once again, I realized I hadn't eaten anything all day! What can I say, I have a one track mind some days 😊! Anyway, went to Google maps to explore restaurants close by and Husson's Pizza popped up only 6 miles away from me. Then it hit me! Both KT and MW recommended them! I was guided there in a matter of minutes!

It was a little after 4p when I got there but I didn't feel like dining in. I loved the fact that their menu board was big and legible before I went to the counter! Brennan greeted me and took my order: Husson's Deluxe 14" and cinnamon bites. He asked me if I would like banana peppers or jalapenos. I am glad he did! I chose the banana peppers. I watched as the pizza dough was hand tossed, already a plus for me. In no time my order was ready and back on the road heading home. It wasn't until I got home that I actually looked at the box. I liked it so much, I took a picture of it. The pizza was scrumptious, crust just right. What surprised me were the cinnamon bites. I didn't realize the order was that big!!! Morning coffee now has an extra addition!!! 😁 Why a 14" pizza just for me? I am a bit disappointed in this location. We went in once before & there was no issue, food was good, & during a pandemic. Went in tonight, my husband wanted a stromboli. I did too. & Ordered an Italian sub for the kids. My husband wanted a stromboli with pepperoni instead of beef, with extra pepperoni & extra cheese. The guy repeated it back. Then he ordered the kids'. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted. Then I read what comes in the beef stromboli. Ok I'm thinking my husband wanted a custom one. That's how he always orders a stromboli. But the guy never once said, it wouldn't be made like that. He repeated the order with everything. (Correctly & verbatim.) "You want 2 strombolis, one with pepperoni, extra pepperoni, & extra cheese, one with beef, & 1 Italian sub. Is that all?" We heard what he said & agreed. I don't like pizza. But around here, it is all you can get if you dont want to pay doordash twice the value of the food. Tonight i ordered a large antipasta salad, and cheese sticks. I ordered 4 garlic dipping sauce to go with it. I hate marinara, which might be the reason i hate pizza. When my food got here, there were 4 containers of marinara. I called them. The woman who answered the phone told me that it said marinara on the order slip as if i would order extra of something i hate. She told me that they would send garlic dipping sauce out to me, but that it would be a while. I set the cheese sticks aside to start on the salad. A large salad, not small. But there was only one packet of dressing as if i had ordered a small. When the garlic sauce arrived, the cheese sticks were ice cold.
