I have been coming to Tropical Smothie since they opened and never had an bad experience like today. First let me start by saying the young lady who took my order had a very nasty attitude from the beginning. I ordered a hummus wrap a kid's smoothie and a matcha smoothie with ginger, probiotic & P.PROTEIN. After I got my order, while eating at the location I noticed something was not right. My stomach felt a bit funny and that's when I noticed they gave me SOY PROTEIN instead of P.PROTEIN. I kindly told the young lady that I did not order soy protein and that I am allergic. She argued with me that soy protein was the same as p.protein. I explained to her that I come there often and I know what I am talking about, but she did not care one bit, even after repeating my soy allergies to her. At this point I no longer wanted to go back and forth so just asked for the smoothie without the protein. After leaving with the second smoothie, it was disgusting. Mostly water. I am pretty sure she did that on purpose since I did bring up her nasty attitude. Sad part about it is the customer behind me said "oh she always has a nasty attitude". At this point I returned and just asked for a refund. I also asked for a manager's name and way of contact. She gave me a business card with the name Guniyal Pandit on it. I asked the young lady her name and she refused to give me her name. Told me to call the manager and asker her, which in my opinion, being the business owner I am, is completely rude and unprofessional. After calling the number on the business card the lady gave me, the person did not seem to care much. I told them they should have a conversation with their employee because that is bad for business and I could've really got hurt for the employee negligence. She told me she would, but never bothered to figure out who was it that treated me this way. I am highly upset, not because my smothie was messed up, not once but twice, but because of the the negligence from both the employee and the owner about the way I was treated and my allergies. I hope that someone in Corporate can reach out to this location. The next person may not be so lucky and could seriously get hurt because of an employee thinking that soy protein and p.protein...
Read moreUpdate: We've been frequent repeat customers for years, through the pandemic to now. But today I was shocked by the way I was treated. They gave my online order to someone else and repeatedly told me it had been picked up already possibly by Door Dash I explained several times that we had not picked it up and I was the only one with a car so no one else could have. Also we did not order through Door Dash. I even showed her a screenshot of the order. Exasperated, finally I asked if I was going to get my order to which the manager told me to calm down and made me feel like I was the one who had done something wrong. They did make the order for me but were rude and anything I said was met with "I have other customers". Seems like you either gave the order to the wrong person or someone scammed you. But I was the loyal customer that you treated poorly. I'm sorry to say we're done here.
