I’ve been a loyal Best Buy customer for years, with an annual membership, making nearly all my electronic purchases through Best Buy. I’ve visited the Princeton location multiple times in the past and always had amazing experiences.
However, today was a completely different story—it felt like I walked into a scam or trap. I asked a Best Buy associate (in the blue shirt) about purchasing an Apple Watch. Instead of addressing my query, they quickly handed me off to an AT&T representative (Nova) without providing much context. Before I fully understood what was happening, the AT&T representative was creating an account in my name and pushing me to buy the Apple Watch through AT&T.
I repeatedly asked for simple information—just the monthly cost for an AT&T connection on the Apple Watch—but was told an account had to be created, and a soft credit check had to be run before I could get any numbers. Despite not signing any documents or contracts, I received emails from AT&T confirming the creation of my account.
I walked into Best Buy to buy an Apple Watch, not to be pressured into setting up an AT&T account or purchasing through their services. This experience felt deceptive and left a bad taste in my mouth.
I raised my concerns with the supervisor (Sarah), who acknowledged the issue and assigned another associate to assist me. By then, however, I had completely lost the desire to make a purchase.
I’d like to highlight that my previous interactions at this store, particularly with Blake, were exceptional. His professionalism and assistance were the reasons I continued visiting Best Buy Princeton. Unfortunately, it seems Blake has been transferred to another location, and with his departure, the quality of service at this store has plummeted.
I hope Best Buy takes serious steps to address these issues and ensures that customers aren’t subjected to such pushy and misleading tactics...
Read moreAs a Best Buy Elite Member I will no longer shop for any future electronics or appliances with Best Buy ever again. The West Windsor Store (Princeton NJ) are scammers. It started by purchasing a wifi mess system and was advised by a associate by the name of Justin of a Geek Squad promotion and indicated the programs that they offer. Since I was in the market to have some televisions mounted on the wall I thought this was a great offer. Subsequently a manager by the name of Mike chimed in and boasted about his previously installation from Geek Squad. Mike and Justin stated by being a member they can install and mount each tv for $50. Well after questioning the price It was later discovered there were additional fees which was not disclosed to me until I questioned the installation process. Due to this matter they rectified they misleading pitch and fix the problem. The installation was scheduled a week out and on the day of the installation a random van appeared in my driveway. This van did not have any Best Buy decals nor insignias and the driver Tracey (Loud&Clear Audio/Video Concepts) stated he was here to install the televisions. He did not provide any documentations nor I.D. to show he's was apart of Geek Squad. Let it be know, the televisions was not install because Mike and Justin did not input the correct information in my order and Tracey refused the installation. I went to the store and spoke with the manager Omar who stated he had no knowledge as to what there was to do then asked how I they should fix the problem. Needless to say I went to the store three times that day and promised the situation was resolved and the installer will come later that evening or next day. Well no call no show. So no more business!!!! A complete waste of my time and ...
Read moreHello, usually I don’t like to write a review on anyone but this time I have write because this time I can not let it go. I think just like me may be other person has to deal with this situation all the time. I want Best Buy to know about it as well as other girls who comes to shop they don’t have to deal with this.
I went to the store couple of days ago. I have this guy name Ismail came to greet me with a big smile asking me if he can help. I told him, no I am good I’m just browsing if I see something I’ll get back with you. But he kept insisting to help me and try to make unnecessary conversation with me asking me where I live what do I do for living, if I have boy friend or husband. I kept ignoring him and kept refusing to answer. At one point he asked me point blank if he can have my phone number l, and if I would like to go out with him. I clearly explained him I am not interested but he seems like he doesn’t like to take no for an answer. Once he realized he had no chance with me he then told me he find me very sexy, very hot. He said he will give me $300 dollar or he will take off $500 on anything I buy only if I go out with him.
It made me feel so insulted i don’t know what or how to react. I run away from the store and realize other girls should know when they walk in to the Princeton location. Girls should be extra conscious to walk in that store alone and if you see meet a guy name Ismail you rather runaway from the store. I wonder if he was ever been arrested for sexual assault or if Best Buy do background check before they hire anyone. If I were there Manager I would fire him long ago. My suggestion to Best Buy is to get ride of him ASAP other wise they loosing lots of business or...
