UPDATE: I returned to have a quick lunch and got the avocado smash with an egg. Service was extremely quick and friendly. Food was very tasty. I am going to chalk the first visit’s awkwardness up to opening craziness.
Great location by all the shops - very cute ambiance and the food was good, but the whole experience was awkward.
My food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. I got the avocado smash and granola combo with a hot chocolate, but my husband ordered a chicken sandwich and he didn’t get his food until over half an hour later. I understand that mine was quicker preparation, but it was so awkward. I had been done for probably 20 minutes by the time he received his.
When we were sitting there waiting for his food, our server never checked in about it until we flagged someone else down to ask if something was wrong - they just said it would be up soon. It was still another 10-ish? minutes and my husband said his sandwich was fine, but it was not worth the wait and he would have preferred to cancel his order if he knew it would take that long.
We also heard a woman at the table next to us apologizing to their child about how long it was taking and asking them to be patient for their food, so I guess it wasn’t just us. I really want to like this place, but the first experience...
Read moreWe had visited this establishment a few months ago, but just getting to posting this review now. Our one (and only) visit was a joke. We came early on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We had a small child with us, who was hungry. Please don’t market yourself as being a breakfast place, if your servers arrive late, or you can’t actually provide breakfast on time (especially for families with young children). We are unfortunately not exaggerating, but our servers changed about 4 times. We don’t know who our server actually was, so when we needed something, we had no idea who to ask. When we did actually ask for something, 2x different servers said “Oh I’m not your server but I’ll get it.” Then who was?! Sadly not another exaggeration (I wish it was) but what should’ve been a quick 1 hr max breakfast slot, lasted close to 2 hours. Once we ordered (we counted) it took at least 30 minutes to get the food. My poor daughter kept saying she was hungry. Another 10 minutes to get drinks. Asking for the check? That was also a joke (and the hardest part, trying to find someone - it took literally about 10 minutes). Sadly, 3-4 families began piling up at the door - some began seating themselves or walking out. This location has to do better. For Princeton, please improve...
Read moreThe place has great potential, but unfortunately missed the mark. The atmosphere is very trendy and appears to be a great place to work remotely or meet up with friends. We had visited to quickly grab some coffee before errands. When we entered, it did not appear to be busy and there was no line for the front, but the baristas were obviously doing their best to complete a backlog of orders. We waited 5 minutes before giving our order to the very kind barista. It then took 20 minutes to get our two coffees and a premade yogurt parfait. During this time, the barista was not only up front making coffees, but was running to the back to run food to tables. When we did finally get our order, the coffee was undrinkable (but that could be personal taste) and the parfait contained dried out old fruit and soggy granola. The patron who ordered after us had ordered an overnight oats that noted “Thursday” on the bottom of the cup (we were there the following Monday meaning that this item was sitting for 5 days). We were really excited to try this place out, but were extremely disappointed by the wait time for two coffees/pre made food and the quality...
