The Holy Grail of Burgers—Indiana Jones Would Approve
Let me start by saying, Graze Burger isn’t just a burger joint; it’s an experience. The beef is so fresh they probably slaughtered the cow in the parking lot, handed it to the cook, and brought it to your table while it was still mooing. They even have a fridge in the lobby where you can buy the same ground beef they’re using for your burger—because why not take the magic home?
When I walked in, I saw them patting out the burger patties by hand, which was both reassuring and mildly intimidating. The place was empty, so my friend and I hesitated for a second, but hunger won, and boy, am I glad it did.
I’m doing keto, so I asked for lettuce instead of a bun. They didn’t just throw a flimsy leaf on it and call it a day—no, they went all out. I’m talking four or five thick, sturdy leaves on either side. It was like holding a beefy Dagwood wrapped in a lettuce fortress. I got the breakfast burger, complete with egg, bacon, sautéed onions, and mushrooms. And let me tell you, I know burgers. It’s been nearly a decade since I had what I thought was the best burger of my life at some no-name joint in the middle of nowhere California (Just kidding, it's called No Brand Burger Stand}. I’ve been searching for the holy grail of burgers ever since. If this isn’t it, it’s definitely close—I may have actually seen Indiana Jones escaping out the back door as I walked in.
My buddy got the classic Graze Burger. He took his first bite, paused, looked at me with wide eyes, and said, “Man, that’s a really good burger.” Naturally, I was intrigued. I took a bite of mine, and boom—a literal stampede of flavor hit me. The beef was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and every bite was pure bliss.
My only complaint? The booth seat was a little too firm—pretty much plywood. But that could also have something to do with the fact that we sat there for three hours, basking in the glory of those burgers. If your visit is shorter than the length of a Marvel movie, you’ll probably be fine.
If you’re within an hour of this place, make the drive. Didn’t try the onion rings or chicken, but if the burger is anything to go by, you’re in for a treat. Winner, winner,...

I actually came to write about how the service was awesome for such a quaint burger joint. I'm not necessarily talking about how fast our food came out (we had a party of 8 right in front of us, so I can't blame the restaurant for a 20 minute wait).
I'm talking about the service that makes you go back and tip (because that's when tips are appropriate, IMHO). The staff was so kind and authentic. Their eyes weren't void of life, which speaks volumes about management. The fries had so much flavor. They didn't taste like they had ever been frozen - probably because they weren't. I didn't know fries could taste like this without a pound of seasoning on them.
I was actually surprised when the girl from the counter came over to our table just to ask how our meal was, and was authentic about it too. I guess I just didn't expect to be asked that at a place that serves burgers.
The icing on the cake was when I asked if I could only try their custard in a little cup because I didn't want to commit to a sugar stomach ache - and they happily obliged! I honestly felt bad that I didn't order any! So tasty!
I have to admit that, if this place didn't impress me with it's service, it would be just another burger place. But given my experience.- this place is well worth the whopping 20 minute Rhode Island drive.
My only two pieces of advice would be:
Get a different mayo packets or a mayo dispenser. We went through 5 or 6 different packets strictly because the opening on them wouldn't break the seal.
Your patio gate makes a noise like nails on the chalkboard when it gets opened/closed... we ended up moving inside because that party of 8 was...
Read moreI visited Graze at the start of the lunch shift and was greeted by a smiling employee, who was quick to recommend some items when I asked.
The establishment was clean and very standard for a fast casual restaurant.
My order consisted of the crispy chicken sandwich and crispy fried onion strings.
They had a decent selection of beverages, including fountain soda and bottled kombucha. Another customer told me the milkshakes were delicious, which I will determine on my next visit.
I got my food, notified of its status with a buzzer. My first impression was that it looked delicious.
A piece of thin fried chicken topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles and aoli. Overall, the sandwich was pretty good. The flavor of the chicken itself was sort of plain, and there was a good amount of grease that dripped off my sandwich. It's a shame because it detracted from the overall high quality of the rest of the sandwich.
The onion strings were solid but I had a lot of loose breading in my basket. Thankfully they give you enough of them, to where it was a moot point by the time I finished my sandwich.
My friend got an impossible burger due to religious restrictions during lent. He said it was the best vegetarian burger he has had from a restaurant, for what that's worth. Impossible burger isn't my style, but I wanted to include his feedback.
I thought the quality and quantity for the price was a good value.
I plan to visit again soon to try a burger...
