Mr. Shane's Restaurant — Restaurant in Westfall Township

Dear management, since you asked for more details. It was Saturday 10/21/23 around 1:30pm. We came in through the patio porch and figured we would be able to sit outside, as our experience is most dog friendly places allow for us to dine outside. We approached the back doors and a young lady, i believe she was described as thin build with blonde hair. She came to the door as it was locked, stuck her head out and stated “no dog allowed”. We were a bit embarrassed about the whole thing as there were others dining within earshot. We did not ask for a manager. I have no reason to lie. We didn’t even get a chance to go in, we were stopped at the door, and was told no “dogs allowed”. We have 2 small (ESA) dogs (8&10lbs) inside dog pouches. I thought they were rude and discriminatory. They never asked us if the dogs were ESA. But at that point we were totally turned off. They even have an outside patio, but that didn’t matter to them. Shane did our wedding and we were excited to here he was opening up this place after the wedding. The food was amazing, and the drinks were on point. Shane followed up with every guest and asked how the family and kids were doing, as a great Manager should, and his staff was incredible. Always cool to see Randy as well. Prices were fair for thus day and age, and 100% worth it, with the cost of everything going up. Wings were thick, tasty, and crispy, we had the mango habanero. I had the wagyu burger and the wife had the jalapeno popper burger, both perfectly medium rare. Drinks were phenomenal, I had the black cherry old fashion, Jameson and ginger ale, and the wife had the snow flake or snow ball martini. First time, had Kelly as our server, she was fantastic through out with insight on meals and helping us wrap up leftovers. We had shrimp bisque soup and fried ravioli as appetizers, both were superb. Dinner selections were a strip steak dinner, cooked to perfection. Also the crab cake sandwich with Asian slaw, delicious. We were stuffed so we took 2 slices of cheesecake to go, again a winning choice. We found plenty of staff that checked on our service throughout.
