I was really looking forward to this place when it opened, and it was good the first three times, even leading me to download the app. The third trip on May 13th unfortunately, was just terrible, and the fact I can remember it a month later speaks to how bad it was.
I placed an online order and arrived 15 minutes later, expecting to be at least close to ready... Yeah, not even close. Myself and two other customers, one who had come in from the drive-thru 10 minutes before me, proceeded to wait for over 40 minutes more to get our food. Several customers came in, asked what we were waiting on, and then left in disbelief, and the drive thru didn't seem busy either.
Of the 8+ people working, only one very unenthused employee came up to talk to me after I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes (I approached after waiting for 20 minutes), saying they were "waiting on the spicy chicken". I pointed out that the rest of my order, and the other two people's orders were sitting there on the counter in plain sight for at least 15 minutes, and to her credit she offered to remake those items, but we all decided to just take our orders when complete and go.
I am not sure if there was no management, or a shortage of items, or what, but if it keeps up like that I expect this to go the way of the Roy Rogers before it. It's a shame too because I enjoy the food when it hasn't gone cold from sitting. I contacted Popeye's customer support about it, and they gave me a 5 dollar coupon, which given the whole situation seemed underwhelming. Will try again in a few months and...

Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for: My only complaints are 1) I paid $7-8 for popcorn shrimp and when my husband got home it wasn't in the bag. I tried calling them right away, and it kept giving me an automatic message about their box being full and not able to take calls. I called the number on the receipt for their store. I was surprised they opened without a working phone line or taking calls, whatever the excuse may be. My husband wasn't going to drive 30-35 minutes back there (each way) waste all that gas and mileage for this. Gas and car maintenance is too expensive these days for such wasteful trips. They just opened and was a huge line around the block for drive through, so accidents would be expected. NP. 2) I wish they didn't put gravy in the mashed potatoes because not every person likes gravy, or might have allergy to something in it. I assumed it would be on the side like other chicken fast food places, that's why I didn't order it plain myself. Now I know. Make sure you check everything is there before leaving. Update: Tried the popcorn shrimp another day, they were totally inedible. Whoever cooked them did so too long and they were shriveled up, dried out pieces of tough rubber. They were dark brown inside and didn't even look like shrimp. Asked for gravy on the side for our large mashed, they gave me a 1/2 filled small container. Read moreUpdate 12/1/23 This location has improved vastly! Especially the staff! Everyone, including the employee i posted about previously. They helped us today, and were extremely pleasant and very helpful! Glad to see, as I really love Popeyes!! I absolutely love Popeyes and was thrilled when this restaurant opened, but since then everytime I go in my experience is less and less pleasant. Most of the staff are very nice, but there is an employee that the last 3 times I was there is disruptive and loud, both times I could hear her from the kitchen complaining. The last time was this past Friday March 24. I was waiting for my mobile order, no one was out front for about 3 to 4 minutes. Then said employee came put of the back, always a scowl on her face, and asked if she could help. I wanted to add a drink to my order, which wasn't ready yet. I guess this confused or annoyed her, she tried to use the register, then had some girl that just walked in from break take the register. The break girl didn't know what was going on so she just moved on to the next customer. When I complained she just gave me a cup no charge. Then I waited another 4 or 5 min. A bag finally came into the window, along with I think a manager who asked my order number. I gave it to her, she yelled it into the back and apologized. Another 3 minutes go by and the disruptive girl and the manager are kinda arguing...then I come to find that my order is the one sitting in the window.
