14 Cannons — Restaurant in Westlake Village

I took a trip out to this brewery on a whim while up visiting a friend and quickly fell in love. Like most breweries this one is located within an industrial park, but once you walk through the door you're quickly swept away. Upon first entry it appeared dimly lit like the stowe of a ship, but that sensation was short lived as my eyes adjusted. The tasting room is well themed with walls adorned with nautical decorations and accents all the while playing everyone's favorites 90's era songs. The serving staff was wonderful, extremely helpful and very personable making you feel right at home. The beer itself was top notch and I quickly found myself trying multiple flights and even bringing some home. Their beers run the gambit from dark delicious stouts to the more natural tasting IPAs that is their signature. Like most breweries they have crowlers, growlers, and cans to-go. Their crowlers come in a nice and hefty 32 ounce can and even more impressive is their growler as it is a very high end 64oz stainless steel insulated model. With only a few hours spent here I can gladly say that the next time I'm in town I'll gladly be back enjoying some more delicious beers.

Was really looking to enjoy this brewery, but I can't recommend it. I've had their beers in tap from area restaurants, and it is very good. Unfortunately, I lost my appetite when the servers were wearing masks + plastic face shields. I felt like I was about to have surgery done. Instant buzz kill. Also, I ordered a chicken salad but they were out of chicken. Really? They got $12 out of me for what would best be a $3 bag salad. Also they had to run my credit card twice, once for the food tab, and once for the beer tab, both tabs were charged by the same waitress while I sat at the same table. Annoying. Additionally, no prices on the beer menu, small complaint, but strange. The beer is good, so I might go back in few years to see if they've improved. I hope they get a few of these things...

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Amazing all around! If you like wine ... come visit Lauren or Charlie at the wine bar here.. and you will KNOW wine, and LOVE it even more. They are SO knowledgeable and make fine wines something you can truly understand and enjoy. Such a cool vibe here at the wine bar. So much fun to hang out here. Not pretentious at all but the wine you will consume is top notch and low key delicious . Great spot to bring a date and impress him / her. Ask for Lauren or Charlie when you arrive .. they are incredible people and really know what they're talking about. My wife and I love coming here to have great food and even better wine. We love you Lauren...
