Blazing Bird (Westminster) — Restaurant in Westminster

Hugely disappointing experience from Blazing Bird. I ordered ahead online for pickup scheduled for 90 minutes later. Upon my arrival, there were about 5 people working, and not one of them acknowledged my existence for a solid 5 minutes. I saw there was a paper bag that appeared to be a to go order. Finally, I went over to look at it myself and saw it was my order. I asked if I could grab it (since no one had even said hello to me), and the guy said “I was busy” three times. As others have said, it was not busy… Once I got the food, I could tell there was no warmth coming from the bag whatsoever. I got home and saw the receipt had 3:58pm printed on it (my pickup order was scheduled for 5:20). The food was soggy and completely cold after sitting out for what I can assume was over an hour. I ordered the hot chicken tenders, fries, Nashville dry rub wings with ranch (no ranch was provided), and a double smash burger. I wish I could review the food fresh, but i ended up having to reheat everything. The fries were 5/10, tenders were 6/10 - lacked flavor and only had a spice kick, wings 5/10 - maybe better if they had given ranch as requested, and smash burger 8/10. Eater beware. Poor to nonexistent customer service when there is a problem with the good. Normally this place is good and my personal favorite is their french fries. On Memorial Day, we ordered 2 large fries, blazing Mac and cheese and a drink. Normally their fries are great and hot ( temp). Frequently you have to wait a few minutes before eating the fries so you don’t burn your mouth.

I called as soon as my son got back with the order and I spoke with an employee. We have the receipt. I asked if I could get a credit for the fries or get the fries replaced the next time we came in, which I thought was reasonable. ( about 3 times a month).

The employee stated they can only replace the fries if I bring them back now (we had plans). They stated if I couldn’t come back for a week or two, I would need to bring the uneaten fries ( a week old) and the receipt to get a replacement. The manager was not in and I was not allowed to leave as message for the manager. Fries used to be inexpensive but when fries are close to $5 per order and we had two of them, the situation should have been fixed. If fries were only a few dollars, it would be less...

We stopped by because we were so excited to try this place. There was only one group ahead of us in line and they were being helped by someone that clearly would like to be doing anything other than be where she was. There were three employees sitting on boxes behind the counter all on their phones. The back door was open and an employee was smoking out back. When the group in front finished their order the person from outside came in and a couple of folks that were on their phones got up to prepare food. None of them washed their hands (cigarettes and phones are gross) and they all had a very disinterested body language. We decided to not even order and went somewhere else. I must say that I almost didn't go in to begin with because the weeds on the property were so bad. It worries me when places don't show much care for the property, and gives me an indication of how they take care of the inside. I won't bother...
