I recently visited the new Home-Grown Tap and Dough, and while there were a few ups and downs, it was an experience worth talking about.
Let’s start with the highlights: the Margherita pizza was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was thin and crispy, the tomato sauce was vibrant and fresh, and the mozzarella melted into a creamy, perfect layer. It’s a classic done right, and I’d go back just for that. The Side House Salad and Caesar Salad were also standouts—fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. They were simple but executed beautifully. And the Cheesy Garlic Bread? Wow. It was rich, indulgent, and exactly what you’d hope for—gooey cheese, garlicky goodness, and a soft, warm bread base.
Unfortunately, not everything hit the mark. The Funguy pizza, which I was excited to try, was overwhelmingly salty, which overshadowed the earthy mushroom flavors. It's also covered with an huge serving of arugula. I removed most of it and it was a lot better. A lighter hand with the seasoning and arugula would’ve made a big difference. The Crispy Fingerling Potatoes were another disappointment—they were overcooked and burnt, leaving them bitter instead of flavorful and crispy.
That said, the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. The modern, welcoming design creates an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a date night or gathering with friends. The service was also excellent—attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate any needs.
Overall, while there were a few missteps with some of the dishes, the stellar service, beautiful setting, and standout items like the Margherita pizza and cheesy garlic bread make me believe this spot has huge potential. With some tweaks to consistency, it could easily become a...
Read moreHomegrown Tap & Dough just opened in Westminster, and I can confidently say it’s already a standout dining destination! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about creating an excellent experience. What truly stood out was their commitment to catering to food allergies and dietary preferences. The menu offers a wide array of options for everyone, making it easy to enjoy a meal without compromise.
The food was absolutely top-notch. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re craving wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta, or creative small plates, there’s something to delight every palate. The craft cocktails were a highlight—expertly mixed and the perfect complement to the meal. Don’t miss their signature drinks, which strike the perfect balance of bold and refreshing flavors.
Another thing that sets this place apart is the management team. They took the time to stop by our table, check in on us, and personally thank us for visiting. It’s clear they’re passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest leaves happy.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines amazing food, stellar service, creative seating on a chair lift or in a gondola loud with a welcoming vibe, Homegrown Tap & Dough is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

Read moreCame here with a group of 10. We waited at our table for about 15 to 20 minutes before a different waitress asked if anyone had talked to us yet. She went and got our actual waiter to come over and get us waters. We placed our drink orders which took unreasonably long to get. One of our group ordered a beer that came out and he was able to drink half of it before we even saw sodas. At that point we were ready to place our entire order but after putting in the appetizer we were told by our waiter that he was just going to get plates and he would be right back for our order. Well, right back apparently means 20 minutes. Once our pizzas started coming two of the four made it to the table and half our group had finished eating before the last one came out. At least the lady that brought the last one apologized and said she would comp it for having to wait so long. Unfortunately the pizza that came out last was burnt on the bottom and we could hardly taste what it was supposed to be, but hey, it was comped already. Our waiter never checked on us once food came out and we had to go ask for refills. We even had gotten to the point we were stacking and cleaning up the table because we were waiting for our check so long. Our waiter just seemed upset that he even had to take care of us the entire time. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place and probably...
