I have been to the Mad Greens in Lakewood and it was just fine. Nothing exceptional but not bad either. Last week I went to the Mad Greens in Westminster and bought 3 salads. I actually ordered online. Thinking this would save time. It took me 15 minutes to get there after waiting 15 at home. 30 minutes I was there and my order was still in process. No worries. I stood there and waited. Mind you no one address me when I first got there. The girl behind the counter was sweeping. One couple was sitting in the seating area eating. One gentleman came in after me. I just stood there. The man who came in after me was approached first and another young person began putting his salad together and the girl who had been sweeping decided to see what I was about. I told her I ordered online and my name. She looked around and discovered a bowl with stuff in it and started packing it. Then she hollered for someone in the back. Another young person came up...the first girl pointed to something on the register...he threw his arms up and walked away....so did she. Meanwhile, I'm still standing right there at the counter and the man who came after me was checked out. The young person who took care of him then turned to me and asked me if he could help me. I told him I ordered online and my name....again....I waited but this young person completed my order and sent me on my way. I get home...one salad was supposed to have bacon...on the receipt there was a line through bacon and a frowny face. Next came the salad with steak and shrimp.....a line through steak with a frowny face. Next the salad for hubby....steak only...plus extra steak...the only way to get greens down him....you guessed it....line through steak and frowny face. I was stunned. All the time I stood there waiting, at least 20 maybe closer to 30 minutes, at the counter, not word one was spoken to me about being out of any items, no apology, no offer to replace those items with something else.....nada! Was I charged the full price? But of course I was as I ordered online. My daughter in law called them as she was really upset that I was ignored and not even offered so much as an apology. It is company policy that all orders are final if made online. No call, no spoken word. They told my daughter in law that if I want to call their corporate headquarters then by all means go for it. Lets just say no head of sub par iceberg is ever going to be worth another 50.00 from me. You may keep this place. If you love it...
Read moreSo disappointed with the staff at the 120th & Huron location. These employees do not care about the quality of the food they prepare or the customer service they provide. Most recently, I ordered a rice bowl online for pick-up. Got home only to find a container of food that was less than half full..... with NO RICE. No rice in the RICE BOWL. I had to drive all the way back, walked in, showed my less than half full bowl of food to the girl at the counter and explained that my rice bowl had no rice. The three employees thought that was hilarious and proceeded to laugh, never apologizing for the error. One girl took my bowl, handed it off to a male employee who proceeded to dump the contents of the existing bowl into what I hope was a clean mixing/prep bowl (I cannot be sure it was clean though), add some rice (not nearly the amount normally given), dump it back in to the already used bowl and hand it back. The bowl, even after the rice was added, was barely 3/4 full. I was offered a dessert for the issue (which I declined). I certainly understand mistakes happen and had the employees acted with even an ounce of professionalism, I would not be as frustrated as I am now. I would also recommend that no one waste their money on paying for the BIG bowls or the bowl of soup versus the cup of soup. The amount of food in the BIG bowl is the same exact amount with the exception of “a little extra lettuce” according to their own staff and as far as the soup - both the cup and the bowl get two ladles of soup. The same exact amount in each. On a previous visit to this location, I ordered a cup and a bowl and I stood and watched the employee fill them. When I questioned why the same amount was placed in each, the employee told me that you pay more for the bowl of soup because the “bowl itself is bigger” and he stormed off. Again, terribly unprofessional behavior. It’s unfortunate that this is the only north area location. The food and service from the downtown location...
Read moreNow 4 stats- Much better experience this round 3/23/22. (3rd pic)
8/22/2022 3 stars- We got the poncho villa, and the Pomona, 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks. The juiced drink was terribly watery after I shook it, lack of flavor, all you can taste is the ginger. Not worth the $7 we spent on it. (We drink juiced drinks a lot and this one was not it)
Now let's get to the employees, Serenity took our order at the kiosk station. Immediately she started talking and asking for our order and she then proceeded to scratch her face WITH HER GLOVES ON. I've worked in kitchens for year, this is no go. Absolutely not called for in a food setting. I asked her to change her gloves, she proceeded to handle the greens by replacing her bins while she waited for the coworker to finish the order in front of us. She changed the spring mix and the Romain without changing her gloves after I asked her to. Once she went for our bowls then she changed her (really old and worn out looking) gloves. Thanks....
Then we got to the register and the kid ringing us up had previous been at the receiving station from serenity....and now he is handling money and register transactions touching our bowl, drinks and money......
Food was OK.. Customer service was great (other than serenitys attitude with the gloves).
Your employees seriously need to work on your transfer and glove changes. This was not a good experience for us....especially knowing how kitchens are supposed to handle food properly.
