Kei Concepts came out with their new coffee cafe take and think it's another winner for sure.
A few things to know before you go (at least as of 9/6): -They are currently in their soft launch phase of their operations. You'll want to definitely anticipate a line of sorts when you go. When I went, it luckily moved pretty quick and was mostly in the shade. The wait time in front of the entrance took about 10-15 minutes which wasn't too bad. I also noticed that there is a staff person in front both letting people in and making sure everyone in line was okay. They passed out some menus and fans. There was also a water station which was nice! Do note that you may be in the sun in the line depending how long it is. -Once inside, the line goes by pretty quickly. You'll see a big menu in the front with all their pastries in the class. And some refrigerated items where you can pick up some items as well. The cashiers are pretty friendly and nice. The pickup area has some seats and for a basic drink/pastry order, took about less than 5 minutes to pickup. -There's definitely a good-sized seating area filled with tables, some bar seating, and chairs all-around. However, it looked like all seats were taken when I was there and not sure how fast things rotate around. I'll have to check next time too on WiFi speeds and # of outlets (if any). -Parking in the nearby lot is a bit tight due to how busy it is in general in that plaza area. I parked a bit further away and was able to find more spots.
Here's what I had: *Coconut Cold Brew: I've seen a lot of mixed notes on this but at least the iteration I had was a pretty good thumbs up personally. Definitely get this if you are a fan of coconut water and hints of coffee notes in the aftertaste especially. (I love coconut water and loved variations of coconut water in various drinks recently.) Think this one is still pretty solid for the most part if not a touch too sweet. They unfortunately won't be able to adjust the sweet level on this as a heads-up. *Corn Cheese Cookie: I originally wanted the sando but was more captivated by a cheese corn cookie. The end result admittedly is pretty solid. Love the bits of corn in the cookie and the sweet cream in the middle. It wasn't overly sweet and liked the idea.
Sadly I didn't get to really sit down and take in much of the aesthetics of the cafe itself. But I did note that you get a WiFi code from your receipt.
Definitely curious to try more...

Nestled in the Fountain Valley/Westminster area, Kei Coffee House stands out as a stylish and lively café that draws a steady crowd with its inventive drinks, photogenic food, and modern, cozy atmosphere.
The interior design is impressive — a blend of brick, wood, and industrial-modern elements, featuring a bar counter, plush sofas, and sleek round tables. Whether you’re here to catch up with friends or just want to sip on something unique, it’s got the aesthetic and vibe to match.
The drink menu is bold and creative. I tried the Sweet Corn Latte, which was the highlight — a cold foam made from real corn adds a layered sweetness and saltiness that pairs surprisingly well with the coffee's bitterness. It’s a flavor experience worth trying if you’re into adventurous lattes.
Food-wise, the Beer Pâté Chaud is a winner — crisp and flaky on the outside, with a rich and savory chopped beef filling. The Classic Egg Sando, however, tasted more like a pre-packaged item than something freshly made, so it was a bit underwhelming. The Mango Sticky Rice was an interesting twist — warm sticky rice topped with cold mango slices, served with a side of peanuts. While the hot-and-cold combination felt odd at first, the flavor and texture came together nicely.
The croissants on display looked tempting, and I’d definitely come back to try more of their pastries.
Despite being open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., the café is almost always busy, all day long. Seating is limited, and the space can get noisy, so it may not be ideal for working or studying long hours. Plug-in spots are also scarce, so come with a full battery. They offer free Wi-Fi (up to 4 hours) with a purchase, accessed via the receipt number.
Staff are friendly but very busy, which can slow down service during peak times. That said, they seem to keep the dining area and restrooms relatively clean, even with the high foot traffic.

Had a chance to check out this coffee house during one of its trial run days. The interior aesthetic is very much Japanese Zen Buddhist/minimalist decor with strong use of neutral colors and light wood accents. Use of several sky lights allows for a nice ambient lighting to give more warmth to the colder tones of the marble/concrete. The arrangement of furniture is spacious, good for one or small group gatherings over coffee. There is a notable lack of power outlets, which will limit the duration of stay for those seeking to use Kei Coffee House as their new remote work spot or all day studying location.
Onto the drinks. The drinks are phenomenal. Price point to the quality of the drinks blows other competitors out of the water. The drinks have been r&d'ed well with the baristas well trained to ensure the drinks are blended and crafted well. Wait time was reasonable. Good recommendations from baristas. For my visit, my partner and I got 4 drinks in total: the Flat White, Banana Matcha Latte, Orange Thai Tea, and Sweet Corn Latte.
Flat White: Milk was streamed perfectly, minimal espresso grounds at the end, beautiful balance, perfect temperature, textbook example of an exemplary flat white.
Banana Matcha Latte: Smooth matcha, not grainy at all, banana flavor was natural tasting and paired nicely with matcha flavor. Would order again.
Orange Thai Tea; The sweetest of the bunch, this drink is going to be a favorite. Best description is that this flavor is almost identical to the orange bang drink or an orange creamsicle. Would pair nicely with vanilla or creamy notes.
Sweet Corn Latte: The most creative one of the bunch, this drink is well, sweet, the foam at the top will carry the majority of the sweet corn notes. This is definitely a sipper...
