A client took me here for lunch. Since I'm not familiar with the menu, she ordered for both. I had the seafood vermicelli soup and bánh bèo appetizer. The broth was clear and seasoned enough, more like a veggie soup. The salmon was fresh (I was expecting different type of fish since we don't normally use salmon in authentic Vietnamese cooking), the shrimp paste was okay (aka bland), and I couldn't find anything would have classified as "crab". We’ve come to this restaurant every time I’ve come into town and this time was not an exception. We were the first customers of the day around 9 AM on November 25th. The waitress named Ly took our order of one Bun Bo Hue and a Pho, but didn’t verify and we ended up only getting the Pho. Another server had to come and get us our Bun Bo Hue. She saw the whole thing and didn’t bother to come and apologize for it. We weren’t served water either and had to ask for it before we left. These people don't give a fuuuuuck! I went in there looking for a new experience and I got one. The quality of the food was really good but service was terrible. I don't speak Vietnamese so I just pointed at a couple of numbers. They came out and slapped a bunch of stuff down. No explanation or anything and then gave me dirty looks while I tried to figure out what to do with it. If you speak Vietnamese they seem very cordial. Service for the other tables was remarkably different than what I got. This place is definitely not welcome...
