It pains me to write this review. I have been coming to Los Arcos for over 30 years. Everything started off well enough. They gladly took a reservation, and had our table ready on time. We were seated very promptly brought waters and addressed very quickly. The problem began when it was time to order. I have been diagnosed with celiac disease. For those who are unaware, this is a severe allergy to gluten, that can actually lead to internal damage, and even death if ignored. It is far more broad than just bread. When they brought the chips and salsa, I asked if the chips were house made. They are. I then asked if they were made in a shared fryer. They are. This means that the chips, while being made of corn, are also put in a fryer with flour, chimichangas for example. This is cross-contamination. Of course I did not participate in eating chips and salsa. When it came time to order, I ordered top steak tampiquena. I informed the waiter taking my order that I had Celiac. He looked somewhat confused for quite some time (embarrasing when you are with people that you don't know very well, as you are holding things up). He then informed me that the enchilada sauce has flour in it. I ordered without the sauce. I also asked him if the cook's could please change their gloves, when preparing my dish. Cross-contamination can also happen when they make a burrito before my dish, and then make my dish, wearing the same gloves. This may sound like a big "hassle" to the cooks, but I promise people with this issue do not particularly enjoy being so "nitpicky" when ordering. Frankly, as mentioned, it can be embarrassing at times. I was a bit nervous to eat, as it looked that this concept of glove changing was foreign to the waiter. When our food was delivered, my plate was placed before me, and there was a nice big house made chip in the center of my guacamole. I should have sent the dish back then, but instead, just ate around the chip, to not be a "hassle". At this restaurant, when you receive your bill, you take it to the cashier in the front. I expressed my concerns to her. She looked confused and then proceeded to make faces and almost rolled her eyes at the woman in line behind me. Not realizing that that woman is my mother. Again, making me feel like a "hassle". It is really unpleasant for me to go out to eat. I feel a lot of anxiety, about being judged, a pain in the butt, and poisoned. Another woman (maybe the manager) came to the front desk, and seemed to understand my concerns. But this restaurant clearly does not educate waiters, cooks, and other staff on the seriousness of food allergies. If you are in the food business, you should understand food sensitivities and allergies and educate your staff on the subject. Again, I should have sent the dish back to the kitchen, but did not want to "cause a scene", and be a "hassle". I have now spent the day (Mothers day) mostly in the bathroom with gastrointestinal upset, causing super fun things to be coming out of both ends. Needless to say, I will not be visiting Los Arcos ever again. I leave two stars, only because the hostess was...
Read moreIn the heart of Clover, an old-school Mexican restaurant buzzed with life, filled with the tantalizing aroma of spices and the sound of sizzling tortillas. But amidst the lively chatter, a fierce rivalry was about to unfold over a coveted prize: the last taco.
Asta and Yuno, ever the competitive duo, had just finished a long day of training when they stumbled upon the restaurant. Asta's eyes lit up as he spotted the last taco sitting temptingly on the counter. “I’m getting that taco!” he declared, his excitement palpable.
Yuno, always composed, responded with a smirk, “Not if I get there first.” The two friends dashed toward the counter, but they weren’t alone in this quest. William Vengeance, the enigmatic captain of the Green Mantis, had also set his sights on the taco, his own desire ignited by its delicious scent.
“Step aside, boys,” William said, his voice smooth yet commanding. “That taco belongs to me.” He summoned his Tree Magic, causing vines to sprout from the ground, weaving around Asta and Yuno, attempting to entangle them.
Asta, ever determined, channeled his anti-magic energy, slicing through the vines with his sword. “You think you can just take it? Not a chance!” he shouted, charging forward.
Yuno, not to be outdone, unleashed a gust of wind that sent the vines tumbling back. “We’ll see about that, William!” he retorted, focusing his magic to create a wind barrier around himself.
The restaurant patrons watched in awe as the three engaged in a spectacular showdown, magic clashing amidst the colorful decor. Asta lunged toward the taco, but William summoned a large tree branch to intercept him, causing Asta to veer off course.
“Get out of my way!” Asta yelled, using his agility to dodge the branch and make another attempt. Yuno, meanwhile, conjured a blade of wind, aiming to cut through William’s defenses. “This taco will be mine!”
Just then, William unleashed his own magic, creating a flurry of leaves that obscured the others’ vision. “You’re both too focused on the taco to see the bigger picture!” he shouted, trying to maneuver around them.
With the taco within reach, Asta launched himself forward. “I won’t let you take it!” he cried, using his anti-magic to nullify William's vines one last time. In a final sprint, he dove for the taco, fingers grazing the plate.
But Yuno had other plans. He combined his wind magic with a burst of speed, launching himself toward Asta. “Not so fast!” he yelled, colliding with his friend just as they both reached the taco.
The impact sent both boys tumbling to the ground, the taco flying into the air. In an unexpected twist, William, who had been preparing to cast another spell, caught the taco mid-air with a vine, holding it triumphantly.
“Looks like I get the last taco after all,” William declared, a smirk on his face.
Asta and Yuno, panting and slightly disheveled, exchanged incredulous glances. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Asta groaned, while Yuno shook his head in disbelief.
William took a bite of the taco, savoring the flavor. “Next time, maybe you should work together instead of...
Read moreI have never been to this place before last night and we will never go again! we were seated in the worst seats in the establishment right at the kitchen doors!! Immediately service was not good. My fiancé was looking down at the menu and the waitress walks up held her water out reaching standing there looking at her until she looked up. Wouldn't you just place the cup on the table!?!?! service was obnoxious!!! It gets worse!!! As we are sitting in our booth I notice my fiancé turn towards me and her face immediately looked uncomfortable. I asked her what was wrong?? she tells me the cook in the kitchen was making eye contact at her and smiling, but was stairing and would not stop stairing at her and it made her uncomfortable. So of course I am not going to come to an establishment sit down with the love of my life in hopes of having a nice meal and a nice time. And take that kind of disrespect What a shame & emberessment.
Then the manager maybe owner, who knows!! sits down of course blah! blah! blah! cover my butt/ and my employees butts. "we have never had any problems with staff and customers"
I question the integrity and truth of that statement!
Even so! guess what!? you have now!!! we are grown adults. And would not show up to cause a scene and ruin our own meal that we still paid for, after the horrible experience we had!!!
So I explain to her that my fiancé is the realest person I know and she doesn't lie and just make things up. She manager/owner said " I went and asked and they all said no"
SHOCKER!!!!! Like they would say yes I was checking out another man's fiancé while I cooked them their dinner!!!
