First and foremost I have been a long time, loyal customer here. I previously raved about this place to my friends and family but never will again. I went in for lunch yesterday and ordered the pad tai w/ an extra side of cilantro. When it was brought to the table I first found a hair in my entree and proceeded to find a second hair in my cilantro. I don’t get grossed out easily so I picked them out and kept eating. However our server never paid a visit to the table until we were done eating so I couldn’t tell her. I then found another hair in my entree (#3) and then a FOURTH hair as I was taking another glance. I told our server and showed her the last hair I found and she went to tell her manager. She came back out and said her manager needed proof and made me pick the hair up off the ground so I did. Her manager then came out and dropped my check off and said, “I took your meal off the ticket but please never step foot in my restaurant again!”
I was in SHOCK! I asked why and she proceeded to explain to me that I was a liar and she made other dishes and mine was the only with hair in it so she never wants me to come back. Mind you I did not ask for a refund or even for my meal to be taken off and I was extremely respectful and casual when telling the server about the hair. I was going to pay and tip 20% and still come back again for another meal in the future. I worked in the service industry for 6 years and NEVER complain but four hairs in my food was a bit ridiculous. After I explained how frustrated In management I was and how this was so unfair she then yelled at me and expressed again that I was never welcomed back because how could I apparently lie about such a thing (as if it is unheard of to find hair in your food).
Needless to say I will never be back and I will warn my family and friends to...
Read moreI attended a conference in Westminister, CO, and on three consecutive days had the same meal, one of my favorites, green curry chicken and hot green tea, at three different restaurants: Tuk Tuk Thai Bistro, East Moon Asian Bistro, and Thai House. Thai House: 4.5 out of 5. Thai House is a simple hole-in-the wall restaurant that people who love good Thai food seek out. I was greeted by the familiar portraits of the Thai Royal Family, an indication that someone in the restaurant bears a connection to Thailand. The green tea I ordered arrived quickly. Again two green tea bags in a pot but the cup had handles and was not chipped (see my review of East Moon Asian Bistro in Westminister). Prior to the meal I was served a Thai fried egg roll (excellent) and my choice of soup. I chose the egg drop which was good, not outstanding but very good and comforting on a cold day. The green curry sauce was more substantial than that provided by either Tuk Tuk Thai Bistro or East Moon Asian Bistro. It was properly seasoned with the right spices including ginger, bamboo shoots, the proper type onions, and no huge chunks of cucumber (Tuk Tuk Thai Bistro), chunks of tomato, or purple onions (East Moon Asian Bistro). The green curry was offered in mild, medium and hot. Not knowing how it was spiced, I chose medium and found it to be a touch above medium. But I've eaten at the Marianas Trench in Guam, where you select between one and ten on hotness. A medium there is like 8 out of 10 in the mainland, so a touch above medium is always fine with me.
Bottom Line: Of the three restaurants I tried in Westminter, CO, give up the yuppy decore (East Moon Asian Bistro) and the place that can't even keep rice warm (Tuk Tuk Thai Bistro). For good Thai food, I recommend...
Read moreThe owners/managers of this restaurant have poor customer service and they are very irrational and selfish. I brought a guest there for their birthday and we weren't happy with the dishes despite being returning customers, they were not willing to refund us 2 out of 4 dishes, they said "it's not our business if the food is bad"...😡. Their response right there shows that they don't care about the quality of their food and their customers. If a customer gets a bad dish, then the restaurant is not "responsible" for it basically means tough s* 😠. This is poor excuse for not wanting to do their job. They are clearly inconsiderate, ignorant, unfair and irrational. So why pay for bad food? Don't go even here🛑!
My suggestion don't bother wasting your money here, they take their customers for granted and they seemed too pleased with their restaurant to give a damn about making up for their shortcomings. Save yourself the headache and spend your money where customers, quality and service matter! Word of mouth is everything in this business, make sure your voice, thoughts, opinions matter and your feedback counts! If a place is good, make sure they get praise,if not, make sure everyone...
