Meet Fresh — Restaurant in Westminster

Reason for low rate: First time coming and the sun was shining brightly on the self ordering machine so couldn't see the screen to order. (Onwer might want to move it out of the sun) Went to the counter to order use the coupon which did not state 1 per customer or 1 per transaction. My group of 4 did 3 different orders, 2 drinks, 1 waffle with 1 scoop of ice cream & the waffle special. The lady who took my order was not so friendly when explaining that the coupon is 1 per group. Everything was fine & good til we got our 3rd order of waffle special, where my daughter found a small screw. When I came up to the counter to tell the employee he called the 1st lady who helped me. While explaining what happened she gave me the "I don't believe you vibe". She offered to remake, which I decided cuz we only had 3 bits left & were full. She than gave me attitude asking what I wanted, 1-a sorry would be great but instead I just said "I just want you to be careful when making it next time". If I had really told her what I wanted to say, I would have caused a big scene & probably got ban. What I wanted to say was. "Drop your attitude, I'm not trying to get free food just because I came in with coupons. I didn't make a big fuss when you told me 1 per group nor did I try to use another coupon when I made my 3rd order with a different employee. A Sorry would have been nice & offered a discount on my next order/visit since I decline having you remake one. If I was someone else that person would have not let it go as I did, so you're lucky. " I never knew what Meet Fresh was a drink and dessert shop, I thought it was a place for singles until I got the flyer in the mail. This place is right across the street from my daughter's tutoring place so we went after she got out. The shop is nice and small had lots of tables & seats. It was clean & the music was not too loud either. Perfect to hangout with friends to chat with. My kids & I were there for about 45mins. Drinks & waffle was good except the screw. Would I go back, probably would cuz both my daughters like the chocolate chip waffles with ice cream without the screw please. I hope my next visit...

It’s their soft opening so understandable they’re going to be slow and some mistakes. I hope they’ll improve. I’m glad they’re here instead of me having to go to Irvine or far away. I ordered to dine-in but after over an hour wait, I just take to-go. I got the winter melon drink and it tasted too sweet, like I was drinking sugared water, no hint of winter melon, as I asked for no sugar; 2nd) the drink also tasted like it had spit in it, but like the previous review note said.. something’s wrong with their ice machine so it made bubbles in the ice so it went into the drink. They were kind to get me a different tea drink no ice and it helped somewhat but the tea had iced so the bubbles still an issue. So I let it air out after 2 hours, as you can see 1/2 inch of foam bubble went away.. but the drink still tasted like there’s air bubbles in the tea. So I’m gonna pass on their drinks until later perhaps they’ll get their flow better. Their desserts is still great.. and I thought they forgot the taro balls, thought taro balls were actual balls.. much like the Sesame balls which is mochi filled with sesame paste, so I thought this would be mochi with mashed taro/taro paste, nope. Food is good & delicious but service is REALLY BAD. I asked for 3 extra creamers ( i have 2 order of icy) because we love to have a lot of creamer in the icy food, especially my parents, they love the food because of having creamer in there. But the employees said they can only give me 2 extra. Really???? The guy stood next to me one minute earlier was asking for 4 extra, & they gave it to him without a glance. I have 2 orders, & asked for 3 extra, the answer is NO????? I used to go to Irvine location to eat before, & i could ask for as many as i want. I usually asked for 4-5 extra creamer for 2 orders, they gave it to me without questioning….. not sure why this location is so thrifty about this little thing. Made me lost my appetite. & the most important thing is…. My parents are so dissappointed & they are the ones who always ask me to buy this dessert for them almost EVERYDAY !!!!!
