I had a horrible experience yesterday in the drive thru line. It was busy because of the 50% off Thursday deal. I was waiting for 15 minutes in the second line when a blue car that had got there 5 minutes after me pulls into the first lane and when it came time for me and the green jeep in front of me to move up and merge over, the blue car cuts us off. I got out my car and went up to the mic and that’s when an employee FINALLY decided to go outside and I thought he was going to manage the line and get things sorted out but no, he came out heated with the nastiest attitude telling me to get in my car and I’m saying how the lady just cut in front of me and another person and nothing is being done, nobody is saying anything to the lady that cut us off and how she got an attitude when something was said about her cutting. I go back to my car and they still SERVED the lady that cut in front of us and when I got to the window to pay for my things, the same employee that had the worse attitude, told me that I can’t be getting out of my car because next time he’s going to call the police and refuse service. I was so dumbfounded that I’m the one getting scolded and threatened to refuse service when the lady that cut in front of TWO cars was served and didn’t have anything said to her. I told him I will never be coming back so he wouldn’t have to worry about that. He continued to “lecture” me even after I said that’s fine, can I just pay for my order and go. He allowed me to pay as he’s still threatening me with the cops and saying that it’s just Starbucks policy and I said I understand, I don’t care I just want to wait for my drinks in peace and go. He tells me my last drink will be out and still continues to talk about refusing me service next time. I said, once again, you don’t have to worry about that because I won’t be back and can I please just have my last drink, I don’t need to hear from you anymore while I’m just trying to wait for my drink. FINALLY he hands me my last drink and I leave. I didn’t get his name cause I was so upset but it was a olive complexion male with dark curly cut hair and brown eyes with a beard stubble. I will never come back here nor will I recommend this place to anyone. I felt mistreated and automatically made out to be the bad guy because of my skin color. Meanwhile the actual bad guy was treated with respect....

This location is typically good, but the morning rush can provide varying experiences. This morning I walked in for a mobile order drink, but there were two women waiting in line standing ahead of me to place orders. I thought about ordering a breakfast item, but all 3 of us stood there without being greeted or acknowledged for 5 minutes. Eventually, one of the women stated, “this is the worst customer experience” & walked out a few minutes later. It creates an awkward atmosphere if you’re a regular at this location. The gentleman had his back to the counter the entire 5 minutes & was working on breakfast items. I understand his thought process, but during the morning rush, you’re going to have an endless number of breakfast items coming in. At some point, you have to turn around & greet the customers that have walked in & let them know that you’re occupied, but you’ll be with them momentarily. Finally the other woman begged for someone to take her order as she was on the way to take her husband to the hospital. He stated he was trying to move as fast as he could, and I don’t think anyone would’ve minded, but it was like we weren’t standing there. As an avid mobile app user, I know how many orders are coming in through the drive-thru & on the app while you’re standing in line waiting; 5 minutes is the difference between possibly an additional 10 to 20 minutes depending on the store volume. The baristas are typically friendly & upbeat, and they move as fast as they can. However, the customer service during the morning rush could be a better balancing act between staff & customer. Providing honest feedback because I know how hard these shifts can be, & no one intentionally did anything wrong, but there just wasn’t any...
Read moreIf not for Xavier this morning, I would give this place 2 stars. I love the people, they’re awesome. But recently I’m waiting over an hour for mobile orders. I really think they need a larger place or 2 in Westminster. If you go in the drive thru with a mobile they’ll ask you to come in to pick it up, and you have to wait anyway?? I know that if you go through the drive thru they have to pull your ticket and make your order, but if I was just ordering at the window you’d make it in that time anyway, so it’s incredibly frustrating to be asked to come in.
I’ve worked in customer service so I understand people can be very overwhelming. This morning I put in a mobile order and didn’t bother going in the drive thru. I was in the cafe waiting for over 45 minutes. Recently they’ve been super behind on the mobiles so I’ve started ordering in advance (like before I leave) so that it’s ready when I get there. This morning that was not the case. I ordered at 7:35. My drink was finally ready at 8:20. I waited another 10-15 minutes for my food. It wasn’t ready and I didn’t see my ticket on the cue.
I walked up around 8:35 and asked if they had it, he couldn’t find my ticket. He personally made it. When he walked away to help someone else it must’ve been given to drive thru. No big deal, I waited again around 10 minutes before approaching because I knew they were super stressed. He remembered my order! He made it again even with everything going on, and gave me two free cake pops. He was really wonderful even through all of the stress he was under.
Xavier: 5 stars.
