I would have given 5 stars if I was only offering a review on the food and the niceness of the employees but I can't give the 5th star even though I would have a couple of years ago.....let me explain. Going to Firehouse is an experience which helps to make it better than the competition.....a couple of years ago there were two sisters that worked there, I think one of them was a Manager, when they were there, EVERY time someone walked in, ALL of the employees yelled "Welcome to Firehouse" and usually they laughed and welcomed you as you walked up to the counter......once you ordered, they ALWAYS asked if you would like to "round up" to the nearest dollar to help volunteer Fire Departments...... I seldom ever hear "Welcome to Firehouse" and if I do, it's one person saying it as though they're being tortured, as for rounding up, I have to ask every time (typically once or twice per week) .....tonight, I decided not to ask because if it's no longer important to you, it's not important to me.
Tonight, you were out of sandwich containers, no big deal, it happens but you were also out of onions....I ask, how the heck does a sandwich shop run out of onions when there are 5 National Chain grocery stores within 5 minutes of your store? I had onions at home so I we added our own when we got home but this is another example of someone really not being on their game.
It's a shame that you have stopped doing the things that helped to differentiate you from your competitors, if your revenue has dropped in that last couple of years, you may want to have your staff get...
Read moreAfter navigating the endless puzzle of menus they call an app and waiting over 2 minutes on the order processing screen, we placed an online order for 2 subs and a cookie while sitting in the parking lot.
The app said our food would be ready at 8:20 and I felt like the struggles were behind us. A new era of hassle-free flavor had arrived. I was wrong.
We walked into the store at 8:19 when I saw the employees chilling out through the window and thought “huh, they must be done with our order.” I told the guy at the counter that we had an online order. The dude seemed surprised anyone even decided to walk in the building, and after some mumbling and button pressing, he hopped right to work…… on our order.
Now here is where I take responsibility for part of this debacle. After 10 minutes he hands us a bag of food and we walk out hungry as bears. We should have checked.
When we get home, we realize one sub was entirely incorrect and inedible due to dietary restrictions. I called them to ask about picking up a replacement sub and they said they could make it for me…. tomorrow.
Oh, and by the way, they put the wrong flavor of cookie in the bag…… I don’t know who this legend of a manager Melissa is, but you gotta bring her back or shut that store down!
Cheers to my last Firehouse Meal!
P.S. the cookie is old and nasty cardboard flavor -...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE! I've contacted the health department due to my experience on 9/1/18. I purchased three meals for my family and I did carry-out. I got the salad and on the 4th bite I felt something sharp stab me in the mouth. I pulled it out and it was about 2 cm long and .25 of a cm thick and razor sharp. By all appearances it was bone. I called the store and they told me to drive the 20 minutes back to the store to show them the piece and get a refund. So, I did and upon arrival I was informed that I was only being refunded for my salad and not the other meals. Of course my family would not eat their meals after seeing what happened to me. They were grossed out, totally understandable. I spent $28 on food that we could not eat. I also wanted an explanation as to what the foreign object was and they tried to tell me a hard piece of romaine. ZERO chance something that sharp that could draw blood is romaine. I asked for the object back and they refused to give it to me. I hope the health department shuts them down! I have...
