Aroma Bistro — Restaurant in Wethersfield

I came here hoping to grab a quick salad during my lunch break and wanted to deviate from my usual spot at Lucky Lou’s. I ordered the Caesar salad (which based on previous reviews isn’t all that great, which is odd) and was surprised at how unremarkable it was. It had all the ingredients listed on the menu, but it was so subpar and evident that whoever made it just threw handfuls of the ingredients together. I’m a big believer in not forcing yourself to consume something that you don’t enjoy, so I sent it back. The girl at the counter seemed accommodating, but needed the managers approval. He came over and asked what was wrong, so I politely told him it wasn’t what I expected. He stared at the plate like he was expecting it to do a magic trick, and gave me pushback, telling me “I mean, you ate half of it”, which I corrected him by telling him that I only took a couple of bites (about 1/8 of the salad, not half.) Both math and manners must have escaped him that day.

It would be one thing for the food and service to be mid, but Andre made the overall experience exceptionally unpleasant. I will be continuing to pass by this place, I suggest you try Lucky Lou’s across the street or Village Pizza a...

I've been coming here off and on for what, at least 5 years now? This place, the staff, are AMAZING! ❤ You will not be disappointed! This is a cute, cozy breakfast/lunch/dinner eatery that's great to go to with friends and family! Be sure to get a side of their homemade bagel chips, those should be famous! 👏 Thanks, Aroma!

PS- Yes, their menus (even outdated ones) show up on a lot of different sites. I'd suggest using their Facebook page for the most updated menu. Also, if there was something on an old menu that you just loved, you can ask them and I'm sure they'll make it! For example, my mom loves their old menu's French Madame sandwhich. The home fry potatoes came out half cold and with dirt from underwashed skins. One piece of bacon had a rancid taste, and the coffee tasted like the pot wasn't clean. The bagle was good tasting and the over easy eggs were mediocre. The walls and ceiling were dirty and stained, and they had ceiling fans blasting down on the back and center tables. This is not a bistro, it is a low quality cafeteria at best. No idea how they got any good ratings unless things have recently and drastically changed I hope this rating helps you improve. I will not be returning.
