We are here for the first time. It was à Saturday afternoon. They were not too busy at this time. We were seated right away and the waitress came by and took our drink order. Told us about specials and food portions and gave us time to look over the menu. When we were ready she was there an took our order. It may have took a bit longer than what we expected but not bad or worth getting upset about and she came by several times to check on us. Big tall glasses for drinks, I love this because I don't have to get refills with these glasses and they didn't over ice the drink. Where we sat we had a nice view of the river. Nice tables and seating. Has several TVs through out the restaurant. A game room with electronic games as well as a pool table. Look like an area for karaoke or a band maybe. The food, was served hot. I had fish n chips, curly fries hushpuppies and fried green tomatoes. The fish was light and flakey. The fish could have been a little thicker but that was the only thing I would doing it on. Very good breading and I really liked the tarter sauce. Curly fries were hot and crispy. The hushpuppies were perfect. I never had fried green tomatoes before, but I would order these again. Breading was good, it was probably a whole tomato sliced up. They were sweet and fresh. My wife had a stuffed burger. With the cheese inside two half pound patties. Fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. Fries on the side. She could only eat half of it. It was cooked the way she liked it. I don't have anything really bad to say about this place. It's a great hometown restaurant with a large variety of good food. I would like to see how good the service would be during busy times and try more of their entres. There is a lot I would like to try. So I will be going back. Then maybe I'll up it to a 5 star rating. Prices are OK, some things really good others a little higher than I would expect. But affordable. I don't really get the dine in price vs carry out price. That should be the same. Because if I order it and sit for a second and ask for the Togo box I would get it cheaper than carry out. So they may want to make it simple. Dine in price same as carry out. So overall good food and entertainment and you should try this place at least a...
Read moreI called 2 weeks ago to book a party for my daughter for 5:00 pm on Saturday Feb 4. I was told we could not make reservations but we would be able to be seated with a party of 30 people. I also went in person and spoke to a young lady with the same confirmation. When we arrived with our party the girl up front acted as if she did not want to seat us. I explained that I had spoken on the phone as well as come up and spoken to a staff member about our pre planned event. They kept trying to twist my words and lower the number of people I had booked for. It was extremely unprofessional unwelcoming and flat out rude. The young lady that I had spoken to in person told us that we could get the banquet free because of the misunderstanding and that it would be ready in about 20 minutes. As we were waiting for the room to get ready a young red haired man came out and said okay you can get the room for $50. I said well that’s not what I was told. He said you can get it or we can split up your party. I said ok well I guess I’ll take my 50 people and you can get 50 bad reviews because this is unfair. I did everything right and they would not honor their word. My mother in law ended up paying the fee because I am way to stubborn to let someone run all over me. The food the room and our waitress was amazing!!!!! We had a beautiful time and enjoyed ourselves but it took a lot to get in that room. I’m dissatisfied with the initial treatment and the way the young man handled the situation and turned bright red and stormed away from me. But again our waitress was great and so was the food!!! The restaurant needs a lot of help though. Management is not good. Bathrooms were out of order and filthy. Young kids trying to run the restaurant and not communicating well or upholding their word. It was a mess but it ended up being a great night with a great waitress great food and a Happy...
Read more5/6/2022 I took my 60 year old mother to coaches corner for her very first time. We got there at 4 and waited till 4:30 to open, I would say there was about 10 people waiting out side as well waiting. When they opened the HOSTESS asked us how many, I said 2 and she took us to a four top table right on the edge. I asked if she could sit us somewhere else, ( my mother doesn’t do well with trying to eat in a busy area right in front of kitchen doors) her reply was “ there are no other tables” I then said well I see about 4 empty booths. She then replied that the waitress had not come in yet to wait on that area. I then asked if we could sit outside, she said sure. Takes us outside and NO ONE was out there..she tried to sit us at 2 top small patio table. I asked if we could get a 4 top (to have room) and she said no that they was for larger parties that may come in. When no one was out there. I refused to sit at the 2 top table and that made her upset so she threw the menus at us with her attitude and then promptly when to our waitress and I’m sure was giving her a warning about us. All over a table , we watched 3 other couples get sat back there and she refused to let them sit at 4 top tables after they told her as well they didn’t want to sit there. I understand this a busy restaurant; but if you are “reserving tables” for people that you do not know if they are coming are not is a bit ridiculous. Or if it is a way for waitresses to make more money that isn’t the way to do it. Needless to say we will not be back. If you continue to loose business bc of a “ table” you won’t have to worry about anyone sitting at them considering THEY ARE THE...
