Gold Star Park — Attraction in Wetumpka

Gold Star Park in Wetumpka is a beautiful place but it does not have a lot of things to do unless you have a boat or you want to go fishing right there or just hang out by the river, the view is very nice from there. I'm going to try to add some pictures but it could have a little bit more but it does have a little playground for the kids and there are a couple tables to kind of picnic and a little place like a walking trail to the side and those there are NO signs that dogs are okay to be there or Not Ok to be there, But I do see people with them on a leash, So really kind of need to use your own judgment on that part... But That's all right no about it but there is a new park that is built on the other side of the bridge. That is very nice and I need to review it and kind of add the link here so you can see it to the ones that are new in the area. If you have any questions just contact me.....

This I thought was going to be a high end casino. After getting there I noticed just about the all places around the casino was shut down. Go inside the casino and find the 1 small room was the only part the casino was open to play. The security guards at the front checking IDs told us they are remodeling and that started over 10 years ago. On the pluss side being there for the first time I was able to get 50$ free play and stayed there for about 2 hours...

This is a wonderful park. What a surprise to us after living in Montgomery a year to find this park has been just around the corner in the next town. Such a peaceful place to go for a walk. There are a lot of bridges. The park is clean. There are plenty of nice new picnic tables to enjoy. Gorgeous flowers and fun to watch the ducks or go fishing. The children loved the playground.
