If you have not been to the craft beer house in Wetumpka you need to give it a try one Friday evening two friends and I is pretty early went there for drink and we sat outside we had a couple of drinks it was wonderful weather it was nice to be out in fresh air and there was a whole lot of people around us which made us all feel a little bit more comfortable I think they had the bar blocked off that night and I think it's to help keep the bartender safe as far as distance goes I don't know for sure but you need to give it a try they are amazing the people are always great the bartenders are awesome I used to hang out there a lot but haven't been able to here lately give it a try it's great they don't just have beer by the way they have some good wines and they have something called meat some people know what that is I learned what it was by going...
Read moreMardi Gras weekend in Wetumpka… Although it was a nice atmosphere and the bartender was excellent there was one individual who appeared to possibly be the owner (unsure), I walked in with a coke bottle in my hand from lunch i had in a previous establishment, the individual stated that I was not allowed outside beverages. So I proceeded to put the bottle away. Friends we were with ordered a lagger and came back to the table, the individual came back and said I had to throw it out. With few customers and an event going on in town, the least he could do was allow me to keep my bottle in my back pocket so we could stay and enjoy some more time. Instead, we finished the lagger and left as soon as possible.
Was not appreciative of his lack of consideration. We only came into town to explore and get to know local shops. Guess this was not the place...

We were (politely) asked to leave because no one under 21 was allowed; that comment only being applicable to my 8 month old baby. I will refrain from speeches about ''how behind the times a business like that is" or how "they are shutting out a desirable and wholesome set of clientele" or how "any city of healthy, growing businesses generally include the increasingly popular family bar/brewery setting" or how "Wetumpka is only further digressing from the potential that the downtown area has to offer by antiquated policies such as this".
