Poke Bros. — Restaurant in Wheaton

I love this spot so much! It is some of the best poke I’ve ever had and I’ve tried many different places! The woman who owns this restaurant is so kind and friendly and warm. She make sure that you remember your napkins and if you get soup that you remember to grab a spoon. I almost always forget my spoon! With every order you get an option of either a free miso soup or a free mochi ice cream. I have had both and they are both so delicious! They’re miso soup is amazing and I highly recommend it! I like to build my own poke bowl so I have been able to have fun trying different toppings and combinations. All the fish is extremely fresh and there are many choices of sauce as well. You also have the option of white or brown rice, as well as many different veggies, pineapple, seasonings, and different types of sushi, fish! This Poke Bros location (Danada Square E, Wheaton, IL) was by far the worst I’ve visited. I ordered the spicy chicken, and it tasted old, stale, and tough definitely not fresh. I called to share my concern and was met with a dismissive “I’ll let the chef know.” No apology, no attempt to make it right.

It’s shocking how little they care about customer feedback. I’ve been to other Poke Bros locations the area, and they’ve always been fresh and welcoming this one was the complete opposite. I won’t be returning.

Was excited to see their online ordering up but I tried it today and it kept telling me payment unsuccessful please try another method or try later. I did both and could still never get it through. I tried a few different cards so don’t know if it was just too busy or if something was up with the system. I will give it a try at another point…
