BEAR!!!

Ok, let me explain. I shop at Blick A TON! Online and in both the Schaumburg IL and Wheaton IL stores in person. I love their stuff and their staff! Back when they changed out their computer system a couple years ago my account got all screwed up. First deleted and unfindable. Then it was back but now I had two. NO ONE could figure out how to get rid of the 2nd acct. NO ONE. The system wouldn’t allow me to remove it because I couldn’t even see it. The stores couldn’t, I called management - nope. So every time I go to shop I had to explain, 2 accts, nope can’t fix it, please use the teachers account, and then they would need to search around and verify the correct one before checking me out. Huge pain in the butt, though I had become resigned to the retelling of my tale because there just wasn’t any choice. Then I went a couple days ago to the Wheaton store, and told my same tale to the Bear, who was manning the register, and guess what. HE was able to delete the second account! Finally! Somebody made it happen! He made my day.

Bad experience today; usually I am good with Blick. There was an individual lady today with a cut on her finger, just a cut nothing more, with a little blood. I asked her if she had a blood disease (such as being a hemophiliac). She said no and didn’t mind saying so. She was freaking out a lot about the blood on her finger like nothing my daughter and I have ever seen!!! After I asked the question about the blood disease, the gentleman who was assisting the “patient” to the back of the store to wash out the finger and help cover it with a children’s bandaid, asked me’ “ what kind of question is that?!?!” As you can imagine I automatically assumed he was asking me that cause I was being some kind of ass. While I feel bad about the situation and I was only there to buy a posco paint pen, I called him an asshole and made my way out of the store as quickly as possible. I love Blick but my experience today was nothing shy of something that was a miscommunication gone...

OMG I just discovered this store it is amazing. I usually order stuff on Amazon because Micheals doesn't have most of the meduims I seek or they only have the minimal set. Like for instance Derwent intense pencils I ordered the 72 set online Micheals has only like 12 sets or you have to buy them online. This is definitely an artist's store. Micheals is more a bit of all things like floral a few professional art supplies, off brand art supplies unless it's their own. Blick literally has everything and their prices are fantastic,all great things like pastels a large choice of different brands of whole set markers,paints,markers in marker refills sketch books. Any kind of artist they supply those items.s. The people are knowledgeable and we're able to assist me in learning about some of the items I was inquiring about.
