Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

I’ve been there for ice cream twice in the past month - rude cashier. He definitely hates his job. One of my kids , suggested we order an ice cream cake for a bday because it’s hot: 10 inch soft serve round: $40: one of the rosettes was melted and on the bottom at pick up, the “HBD, name” was written all over the place - we had to go home and Scrape IT OFF. Saved the bday by having our own icing and my 13 yr old wrote it better than what we got. It looked like scribbled by a 5 yr old who never wrote happy bday before . At least space it out to make room for the name. Ugh. Also cake melts faster than you can cut it. Going back to Baskin Robins for all ice cream bday cakes !!!! Awful waste of money and heartache . Awful experience and an incredible lack of customer focus. I order a cake two weeks ago and arrange the pick up for Wednesday at 1 pm. They called me 4 times to confirm the order and pick-up time. Two weeks later, I went to the store and it was closed because they had technical issues. No ok, I was there, I called several times, and no response. What matters most to me when I've had a terrible day - just how fast I can get some ice cream. At this Dairy Queen, it was about 3 minutes. I got the snickerdoodle cookie dough Blizzard with caramel and the pretzel sticks with cheese. The cheese was... well, I don't think it was actually cheese, but everything else was perfect and hit the spot just right after the day from Hell.
