Leeann Chin — Restaurant in White Bear Lake

Went in for lunch today. The first person was bright and cheerful, and informed me that my first order (I was picking up lunch for me and a co-worker) would have to wait cause they were making it (no big deal). I then went to go pay, and she started telling me the order and I said no, it’s separate, and she huffed at me and said fine, the total is X. Did not give me a chance to order a drink nor did she ask if I wanted one, and then rushed me through check out so I couldn’t scan my phone and rudely said you can do it yourself on the receipt... then the second order she did the same thing, no chance to order a drink and no offer of one. I have been in there multiple times and have always had good service from her normally, but being treated like I was today makes me not want to go back. And then when I took my bag, I only got one fortune cookie, even though I clearly had two orders, she would not give me another, and I had asked for appetizer sauce, but it was not in the bag, she would only give me one sauce for a six pack of cream cheese wontons and huffed at me like I was inconveniencing her. This is a terrible way to treat customers. I understand everyone has bad days, but don’t take it out on your customers. May be a while before I’ll think about...

Got there on a Saturday around 530 pm. They we're out of a lot and behind on filling. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. I was waiting 10 mins or so... saw the chicken comp up in the window. I had to tell the server it was up. While he was cutting into it I noticed it was mostly uncooked raw. He through it away and tried another and another till he found what he thought was ok. All along using the same knife and cutting board. He was going to put it on my plate. I stop him and as why did you not change knives..that cross contamination.. totally gross and super unsafe. Told the manage all she did was ask you are still using the same knife. No apologies it was if we cought them and now they were annoyed Call the gm. Not much better was to they got a talking too and they will mend there ways I be Leery on this location for your heath and for time... they don't follow good saftyness when handling ur food. "First time at this location and they are amazing. The food was probably the best quality I've ever gotten from a Leeann Chin. Super quick too. We ordered pints and quarts. That has been an issue at other locations but certainly not here.

10/10 will be returning"

*Edit we've returned a couple times since our first visit and really enjoyed the food. However, today they didn't give me part of my order and we had to go back for it (free cream cheese puffs as compensation for having to return, but they were not very good at all). The fried rice tasted as though it was made incorrectly and made my stomach upset. Or maybe it was the one cream cheese puff I had. Not sure if we will be returning again soon.... Very...
