I stopped by the WBL Arby's after running errands this afternoon. Today was a dangerous cold wind chill in effect. As I drove up to the menu board to order I think the employee was too quick to ask my order or to realize the temperatures were sub zero and any normal person would arrive with car windows up. It took a moment to open my window and I sat there saying Hello? Hello? until I shut my window and decided to leave. I pulled around the building but couldn't leave because there was another car at the take out window waiting for their order. I patiently waited for them to leave all the while debating if I should just place my order at the take out window. But the window didn't open! How could they NOT see my car? So I went around to the front of the building and parked. I really wanted the convenience of drive through but that wasn't happening. I just had to see who the non observant staff member was. I went in ringing the satisfaction bell not because I was satisfied, I really thought I better wake someone up before the dinner rush! There was a nice middle age woman behind the counter who asked to help and I told her I wanted to know who was supposed to be taking the drive thru orders because they were absent and unaccounted for. A short, chubby woman wearing a headphone set appeared and said it was her. I told her she missed me at both points and she might want to give her customers a minute to roll down their windows before wandering off and ignoring them. She insisted she didn't hear me at the first point of sale but I really don't know how she could miss me at the pick up window! Unbelievably inattentive. The nice worker asked me if I'd like a sandwich and I said no but I really want to speak to the manager. Chubby girl said she was the manager but I said I was going to complain about her...to her manager or the franchisee owner. She wrote down a 1 800 number for corporate but I thought an honest review on Google might be easier for me. Bottom line is: if you don't take my order you won't take my money, either. I might...
Read moreI'm going to start off by saying, for those of you that care about where you spend your money, skip this Arby's.
Anyway, I walk into the lobby @ 7:55pm which is open until 8:00pm apparently, just plan on getting an order to-go. Standing there waiting as no one acknowledges me for 5 minutes, then watch an employee close the register out.
A female employee finally welcomes me but looks disgusted that I'm even there. She asks as she rolls her eyes "do you plan on ordering a lot?" I show her a family meal deal coupon.. she rolls her eyes again. Finally she just says, "the thing is, our lobby is supposed to be closed right now." All while looking utterly annoyed with me. I can feel my frustration rising, so I immediately walk out get in my car and go to the drive-thru to order. Because, apparently it's harder to do my order in the lobby than the drive-thru.
I'm in the drive-thru, she knows it's me, and takes my order with no issue. I bottom out my vehicle since I have to drive over a couple huge pot holes to get to the window. So I pay and wait for my order.
I can hear this female bickering and arguing with such a bad attitude, through the drive-thru window. Complaining about orders. You can feel the negative vibe of this place.
Anyway I eventually got home with my food, noticed my sandwiches were pretty much smashed. Also, curly fries were cold and the slider buns were stale as if they were sitting out for hours.
I will never support this Arby's again, and I don't recommend anyone else do so either, if you care about where you spend your money. I can't believe this location is still open. Rude employees, food is sub-par, and this place is a dump. I've worked in food service and customer service, and I understand that it can suck at times, and a lot of places are understaffed. But I felt so disrespected.
I will end my "Karen Rant" by saying this... I don't need to start a confrontation. I'd rather hit them in the bank account by leaving reviews for others, and never...
Read moreFull disclosure, I have a rich and vibrant history of not getting what I order at restaurants. With that in mind, I'll set the scene...
This takes place in the midst of the Covid-19 Situation of Spring 2020, ergo hours of locations are often not what is posted online. I was traveling back from a bonfire on the west side of the metro and it was about quarter to 10, perhaps a little after. I figured that I should get a bite to eat, so I pulled into the parking lot of the Arby's off of Highway 96. I noticed that the outside signs were off, so I pulled out my phone to attempt to check the store hours.
Google Maps claimed that the restaurant was open until 11, and I saw that the lights were on inside, so I figured I'd give the store a call to clear up any confusion. Of course my overly-precise, contextless manner of speech wasn't the most conducive to that, but I relayed the situation to the store's staff and they were kind enough to waive the cost of my meal due to the confusion, even in spite of the store actually closing at 10, not the 11 that the internet lead me to believe.
At the end of the day, I got food in a timely manner considering the circumstance and was on my way within 10 minutes or so. Naturally, the specifics of the sandwich that I asked for weren't correct, but I was hungry and really had no reason to complain. It was customer service that went beyond my...
