My wife and I had to correct the lady on the intercom several times about our order and I actually joked that they were going to screw up our order on purpose for all the fuss we caused. When we got to the drive-thru window we were handed cups of strawberry lemonade only 75% full. I asked the lady at the drive-thru why and she indicated that's all her supervisor would fill it to. I figured "OK, maybe they were all out" ... but I saw the pitcher and it had plenty more in it. I let it go anyways and we received our order a few moments later. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of driving off without checking the bag, but when I did, the order was completely wrong.
Frustrated, I reached for the french fries hoping they'd be enough to give me at least some calories for the aftenoon. They must have had a pound of salt on them, to the point that they were completely inedible. I returned to the store later that night on my way home to get a refund for the food and I explained the story to the really nice lady who typically works the window and a nice younger blonde girl. When I told them, they called the supervisor up to speak with me. She listened (with a major attitude), and then she corralled all three of them into a back room. They emerged moments later explaining that they did not have the authority to issue a refund and that I would have to return - with the old food - the next day at around 11am to speak with the owner (they said ask for Barbera). I was extremely frustrated by this point, but I told myself, "Oh well", and left. When I got home I realized I had forgotten to write down the supervisor's name because I wanted to complain specifically about her and her attitude and demeanor. The person that answered (I'm 99% sure it was the supervisor) challenged me to tell her my name. I told her that was irrelevant and I just needed the supervisor's name. She eventually told me her name was Jessica, but it sounded like she had just made it up on the spot. I told her that had better be the truth because I had recorded the call (I record all of my calls just in case). I then hung up. A second later I received a call back from the store's number, but I declined to answer it. I then got a second call immediately after and I answered that time. The supervisor (99% sure) DEMANDED my name angrily. I told her I was a customer with a complaint and reiterated I needed the supervisor's name so I could explain the situation to the owner. She laughed maniacally and said "You asked for the owner's name not the supervisor's name so you'd better make sure next time before you threaten to record me!". I told her they had already informed me the owner's name was Barbara, so I had no clue who Jessica was. I asked her why she was lying to me again and told her she really ought to just be honest. She went silent and then hung up on me.
I'm blown away by how easily this situation could have been handled. When I got there later that night the supervisor was extremely rude and actually tried to stare me down in what seemed to be an attempt to intimidate me. I'm a combat veteran of OEF (Afghanistan). I'm shocked that she really thought that was going to work 🤣. I was prepared to gladly return and speak to Barbara (or whatever the owner's name is) the next day, but at this point I'm just planning to process a charge back through my bank. I don't like being lied to (especially repeatedly, to my face) and I absolutely will not tolerate anybody that tries to intimidate me.
Just to clarify ... the lady who works the window is ALWAYS absolutely wonderful, and she puts a smile on my face every time I drive through. The young lady at the register was extremely polite and empathetic, too. I usually have a great experience at this location, and I would love to interact with those two employees again because they were excellent, but I absolutely refuse to return until the supervisor is gone. I didn't want any more trouble, so I don't think I will be returning again if she is still running...
Read moreI had to get some major dental work done. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat anything solid for a little while. And Hardee's is my top favorite fast food place. In my opinion they *used to have some of the best fast food hamburgers you could get. But, it seems like they change there menu more times than the weather. They used to have a basic off the grill hamburger I absolutely fell in love with. I think it was the all star or big Hardee. I can't remember the name. It was probably 20 menus ago sometime last year..lol. But, Idk what happened but it's like every time I go to either Springfield, TN or White house, TN. When I get my food. My hamburger has a hand print in it. The one I got in Springfield looked like someone punched it. No lie. I made a fist and it matched up to the bread! I was really mad about that. And, Wensday when I went to White House. The top of the sandwich had a perfect hand print. Almost like someone made the burger and smashed it down into the table. I could lay may hand on top of it and my palm and fingers fit into the bread. All the insides had slid out to one side. The paper it was in looked like it had been used for someone else's burger discarded and then used for mine. I was truly disgusted and disappointed. To the fact I don't want to go back anymore. I should have taken pictures. But, I will definitely remember how I've been treated the next time I'm out and I get hungry. Oh, they received 2 stars because the manager let me in to use the restroom. Because the...
Read moreService was incredibly slow. The people behind the counter did not acknowledge us in any way for several minutes. When it was apparent that it was our time to order, the employee just stood behind the register and looked at us, didn't say a word. I then ordered, asked for lettuce and tomato on my sandwich and a coffee. He handed me an empty cup. After seeing the receipt, I saw that I was charged for lettuce and tomato, I've never heard of being charged for a basic burger setup before. Also, there was no coffee in the pot on the counter, so I paid $2.19 for an empty cup. One of the cooks stuck his finger in his ear for a long moment and then went back to cooking. The tomato that I was charged 17 cents for was mush, so I didn't eat it anyway. Everything took a very long time and the employees were not communicative about anything. We did go back to the counter to ask about the coffee, and the cashier told us that he didn't know if they had coffee. I asked him to check the coffee pot that was behind him, turns out there was coffee. He then took a very long time...
