China Spring (White House) — Restaurant in White House

I truly do not understand the high scores for this place. We're not Chinese food connoisseurs or anything but know good food when we eat bad food compared to what we've had previously in our lives. The shrimp toast was burnt & tasted bad. The spring rolls weren't good according to my sister & mother. The fried rice was so bland whether veggie, pork, or the one with everything mixed in. No egg in it. Didn't really seem fried. Almost like they threw in frozen peas & carrots as an afterthought. The best thing according to my sister was the wontons that had been thrown in for free. The veggie lomein was better than the rice but still not good. I dont imagine we'll be eating anything from there ever again. Hope the 1 other Chinese spot we've found in the town will be better. Plus hopefully they will have seating...

Last time we went here, I asked why they were selling pot stickers for dumplings? They tried to act like they didn't change anything. Even though there is a clear difference and anyone cultured would know the difference. If you're peddling pot stickers as dumplings, I don't want anything else you are selling because your menu isn't truthful! Oh and the egg rolls USE TO BE GOOD! Last time we got any it was a mushy spring roll being passed off as an egg roll! Can't imagine whatelse is being substituted at this point. You may fool the locals that dont know any better, but those of us who know authentic, you CAN'T FOOL US!! PLEASE STOP TRYING TO CUT CORNERS and RECONSIDER THE INGREDIENTS and the QUALITY THAT YOUR TRYING TO PASS OFF AS "CHINESE".

Not going to lie. We only came here because Mr.Wok was closed down for a month. Craving Chinese we chose China spring because it was the only Chinese take out around the area at the moment. The only reason they got a 2 star on food was because the fried chicken for the sweet and sour sauce was good along with the spring rolls. The sweet and sour sauce wasn't good at all. All rice was still hard and didnt seem to be cooked all the way through. Along with tasting bland. The lo mein noodles were bland as well. Kung pow chicken was nothing like you would think it tastes like. It was more slimy than tasty. I am sorry for writing this review. I really am. But wow.
