Ordered food this evening from there for delivery from their app. It gave us a delivery time of 5:47pm. At 6:08 I called to see if there was an issue and spoke to I'm assuming the manager/owner don't know and he said don't worry the Uber driver will pick it up and bring it to you. So I told him it says it has already been delivered on your app and he said don't worry about that so we sat until almost 7:00 p.m. when we called and was informed that when you make an order for delivery off of their app you have to inform a Uber driver to pick it up which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I ordered delivery right off of their app. So our food has sat there this entire time for over an hour getting cold. $40 worth of food and not even an apology from this guy. UPDATE I heard from Chow Now and am supposedly getting a refund (which is well deserved and appropriate). I called immediately to speak with management, explained the issue, and was told I could return the next day to have the order corrected. However, when I came in, I was still charged full price for the replacement—even though I had already paid for the original item that was made incorrectly.
While the food is delicious and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, the customer service experience when it comes to resolving issues is disappointing. I expected a smoother resolution, especially after following their instructions. I hope the management team improves how they handle mistakes and values loyal customers more moving forward.
