I am replying to owner's response posted here, to "reach out" to the online portal. A careful reading of my post below emphatically demonstrates I "reached out" to the online "feedback" in addition to multiple emails which all were ignored as well as two letters to the corporate offices. The suggestion makes me think Bruegger's either has a form letter posting regardless of the review posting or is simply indifferent which is the conclusion I reached on the posting below of October 26, 2021. Today is October 27th and the "owner" posted a reply with the internet link to Bruegger's and a generic online portal of feedback and advertising. This fails of the essential purpose, to solve the failures and monumental waste of time this has represented to me and the Department of Justice, Consumer Protection, ATCP whose province it is to enforce untrue, deceptive and misleading advertising, Sec 100.18, Wis.Stats.
I go to Bruegger's exclusively for pumpernickel bagels; when the shop near me closed, I drove to Whitefish Bay to buy my favorite. I had a punch card for years to get rewards credits. Bruegger's changed over to an application or QR code, neither of which I have or will participate in but a phone number I was told will work. I registered for their "inner circle" rewards and therein began the odyssey of chasing my tail trying not to be cheated from prior earned credits and new credits applied. I wrote to the consumer portal + to the home office Feb, 2021 objecting to being cheated and I did get a consumer specialist replying in Feb 2021 and giving me credits earned plus a bonus. I returned in July, 2021 and I was refused service on my credits even tho the store verified my balance; the apparent manger refused to credit my purchase also. I paid cash and objected again to the consumer specialist who replied in Feb 2021, no answer, no replies.
If a consumer receives bad service or products without an objection, then the consumer deserves what he or she gets.
So, I forwarded a second complaint which again the consumer portal failed or answers were refused. I wrote a letter to two home offices: Minnesota and Texas which also failed and refused to answer. I filed two "feedback" contacts to Bruegger's online which received no answers or replies. I filed a complaint with the Department of Justice based on untrue, deceptive or misleading advertising; worthless offers of inducements to buy products with a rewards bonus. I forwarded the consumer complaint form to the consumer portal + both corporate offices all of whom failed or refused to reply.
I like the bagels, I dislike being cheated, being treated as if I'm stupid coupled with institutional indifference to a legitimate complaint.

Read moreThe staff is incredibly rude. It is really like a huge inconvenience that you are there ordering something. I waited 20 minutes past pick up time for an online order. I’m guessing the woman in front was the manger who just watched me stand there even when there was no line. A woman making coffee who moves slower than a snail and the one who brings the orders to the front. And a guy in the back with the only collared shirt had a temper tantrum because he didn’t understand an order on the screen. He could be heard through the whole store. Then seemingly the customer who placed said order, seemed uncomfortable and embarrassed. I watched as people would get in line, order and receive their food. The worst part of the scenario is it’s the only Bruegger’s around so I’m forced to go back. And brueggers has the best bagels. It’s a lose lose. Read moreI love Bruegger's Bagels but this place seems to be going downhill everytime I come. The service is always bare minimum, not friendly or welcoming, dust all over the ceiling right above the food. I can get past that to a certain degree that but two times ago I was eating my western bagel and there was egg shell in my sandwhich which was unpleasant. It took several months but I decided to come back today (mistakes happen, I'll give it another try). I ordered two Western's with extra sauce, and one of them without bacon. I drive home to find out that they both had bacon, exteremly disappointed and I have been vegetarian for 5 years now so I couldn't simply remove the bacon I have tried that before and became extremely sick. I don't think I'll be able to give this place anymore chances. I hope something changes so others dont share...
