Born and raised in WFB, I've seen the many transformations Fitzy's has gone through, even working there during high school.

The "old" Fitzy's was a fun place for kids to go and pick out their favorite treats and adults to find various personal items, even nice gifts. But the new Fitzy's isn't as quaint and offers a much smaller collection of products to buy. It lacks the small town pharmacy feel i always loved about it. Nonetheless, the staff are always friendly and the store is always clean. I understand that establishments that have been around for decades, if not centuries, may look to change their operations in some way, so this comment is simply a personal preference of mine.

The biggest concern and the reason I didn't give 5 stars, is the pharmacy. I switched to their pharmacy from a different local, BIG pharmacy, hoping to get more personal attention for my many health conditions. Again, the staff in the pharmacy are very friendly, but there are long lines at times, which is extremely difficult for someone with the back problems I have, to stand in. Their pharmacy app is also not user friendly at all. It offers few options to manage your scripts, especially when managing a household in one account (children) and it doesn't provide any "real time" info on your meds. This has been my biggest vice when switching from my last pharmacy to them; I have to call them to get updates on my meds and if scripts have been filled yet. They offer a texting option which is super convenient, but I don't always get a response when I text.

I should mention that I'm not a novice user when it comes to understanding and managing various apps, so the issue isn't that I do not understand how to use it. It's the fact that neither the Rx Local website nor the app. offer the features I feel are important...

Don’t let the outside fool you! We came based on the reviews but thought we were at the wrong place at first - this is a luncheonette shared with a local pharmacy and gift shop. You order at the counter and they’ll bring your food to you. With both table seating, counter seating looking out the window and outdoor seating (weather permitting), there are plenty of spaces to choose from. This is a charming spot in Whitefish Bay and almost feels like you’ve stepped back in time. Really sweet! We ordered the chicken salad sandwich and tuna fish melt. Both delicious - the tuna fish melt came with red grapes in the tuna salad - unique but tasty surprise. The chicken salad was also good - could have been a more generous serving, but delicious nonetheless. Very generous side salad.

Give yourself time to look around the gift shop area and pharmacy - we picked up Milwaukee postcards and some cool soap products, great card and baby gift selection (I’ve included a few pics of the products, because we are always looking for quaint items and have put this as a reminder to come when shopping for gifts for holidays or friends birthdays) As we left we tried the ice cream and it was worth the calories:) a couple of unique flavors. Everyone is really nice - especially the pharmacy guys! Very charming...

Quick update. Their espresso is top notch. I got the small americano, which is one shot in 12oz cup, but asked for an 8 oz cup instead. Perfect!

Also tried the latte with heavy cream and water instead of milk, with one pump of their home made sugar free vanilla syrup. Hmm. 🤔 I’d have to experiment a little more with their cream to water ratio for that perfect cup, but it was pretty close.

And the quiche! The quiche!! It comes with a salad which is very fresh with light vinaigrette dressing. Which was great too. But the quiche was even better. Hit the spot. Definitely worth the $8.

Now I still have to go back to get just regular coffee lol

wow, I have been living 5 minutes away and never knew there was a coffee shop inside lol. Thought it was a pharmacy. That's because it is. It's a cafe inside a pharmacy. Still not sure what this dynamic is all about, but the pharmacy is in the back and easy to ignore. The cafe is bright and airy and open. Coffee was good and they like to experiment with new concoctions. I was being adventurous and tried different items, but wasn't all too wowed.

I'd go back, for just regular coffee and to sit down and have a nice time with friends. Much comfier, much nicer, much vibier, much more inviting than the Starbucks...

This really is a beautiful space and very cozy. A great place to grab coffee and bakery in the morning or meet for a lunch date. Items are a bit pricey, and menu selections are quite sophisticated for a luncheonette. Considering how many families there are in Whitefish Bay, it would be nice if the menu offered something for younger visitors. I ordered the Avocado Toast to share with my 2 year old granddaughter, but asked that the items traditionally placed on top of the toast be put on the side. They were happy to oblige. Everything was very good and quite filling. My mom ordered the Tomato Basil Grilled Cheese, but it was less "grilled cheese" and more regular sandwich. While the cheeses made for a wonderful combination, the tomato slice was simply way too big. We both had the Sweater Weather chai tea which was absolutely incredible. The Gingerbread Syrup was not overwhelming but the perfect addition to the chai. Who knew? Not me, but now that I know I will definitely be ordering it again.
