As someone who grew up in Los Angeles, Iโve been spoiled by incredible Mexican street food. Moving to Wichita Falls in 2018, I knew late-night taco spots wouldnโt be as easy to find, but I held out hope for a place that could take me back home. On Saturday, that craving hit hard, and with a friend in tow, we decided to try this taco stand Iโd been eyeing for years.
Why hadnโt I tried it sooner? Theyโre cash-only. In 2024, thatโs a bit shockingโno Venmo, Zelle, or even credit/debit cards. Luckily, we had cash this time and didnโt have to make a detour to the bank.
We ordered eight tacos and headed home. The staff was friendly, though there was a slight language barrier. I asked for a sopa but ended up with tacos instead. No big deal. When we got home, the smell of Carne Asada filled the house, and we couldnโt wait to dig in.
The Food The tacos were fantasticโauthentic, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The green salsa was especially amazing, adding just the right kick, while the other sauces (yellow? orange?) were also great. Honestly, the first bite took me back to the streets of L.A. We were so impressed that we returned around 9 PM that same night for more tacos.
Room for Improvement The food is excellent, but being cash-only in 2024 is a big inconvenience. How many customers have they lost because of it? Iโve lived here since 2018, and this was my first visit simply because I never have cash. Adding a simple card reader or digital payment system would go a long way.
Final Thoughts The flavors here are spot-on and worth every penny. If youโre craving authentic tacos, this is the place. Just remember to bring cashโor better yet, maybe theyโll modernize soon so everyone can enjoy...
ย ย ย Read more6 STARS!!! Yes. On Google Maps the top review is 5 stars - and I have passed those out over time. But todays experience here on the 16th of October 2023 I simple just have to pass 6 STARS out. First of all four very kind ladies were working there - one more polite and kind than the other - simply a great experience just meeting them there. They make the food from ground up - and yes - they know how to cook. After a talk with them about our options they let us taste the different kind of meat - wauw!! So TASTY!! So in order to taste as much as possible we ended up ordering 8 street tacos, one quesadilla and one burrito. And we had one of each of their 6 different homemade salsa along - one more spicy than another - and very tasty. I sure worked up a sweat on those ๐ The food was very tasty - very delicious. And these street tacos are not small - filled with delicious meat and spices. And the burrito is not big - it is HUGE - and as tasty as it is huge. And the quesadillas - you just wanted more and more. They have two tables outside for dining. We - three persons - were not able to eat it all - so we now know what to eat tonight. This is a place to visit - and return again and again and again. If not for the food then for meeting these wonderful people again. What an...

It looked so dirty and messy inside, I was bummed so I left and went to their #2 location. Service was ok there. They were out of asada so i ordered a pastor mulita and a carnitas taco. They got my order wrong and gave me 2 mulitas, one pastor and one carnitas. Whatever. They were swimming in grease by the time I got back to the hotel, hense the soaked napkin. Taste wise they were ok. Red salsa needs salt, it was good just bland. I...
