I usually donāt post bad things for business, but Iāve had very bad customer service 3 times in this store, so I feel itās more than a bad day or less experienced employees. 1 yr ago I purchased some appliances, refrigerator, stove dishwasher, microwave. I asked for installation booked a day & paid. When the installers showed up they installed the refrigerator, but said they could not install the stove and I needed an electrician bc my hook up was outdated ( I know it was not) but then they said they couldnāt install the dishwasher or the microwave (above oven) so not only couldnāt they install 90 of the appliances I had paid to have installed but when they left I realized parts of the refrigerator were NOT installed so I ran out & had them come back. Long story short when I called to speak with the manager I got the āhead personā for the appliance department I told him I was upset as I had taken off work fir the installation, not only was he rude he refused to give me a name or employee number. I told it was unprofessional fir them not to know their contractors could do certain jobs. His reasoning was that his employees werenāt well trained, no apologies. I had to wait over 3 days for the credit to post to my card & had to find an electrician & Plummer. The electrician had no problem installing my stove & my hook up was up to date, something with the plumber I had no issues. Iād figured it was just an inexperienced department head that didnāt train his people well. Today I went in, had picked out to exterior doors & wanted to order a garage door I requested assistance to book an appt & get an estimate . One employee stopped & paged for assistance no one showed after 30 min. I stopped another employee he said we had to go to customer service for that, went to customer service got in one line There was two lines. I speak to the person at the desk & he says I canāt do that in this computer so you have to wait for her, so I go and stand in line again although why would you have two computers at customer service that canāt perform the same functions ?! So I finally get to that person by now Iāve waited over an hr. So she tells me I have to go back to the department and get the estimate & appointment done over there. I said well I was there no one showed not even when page, two other employees told me to come here to get that done. So she cuts me off & says wait a minute so she asks some questions & she tells me we donāt install garage doors & you have to speak with george about the entry doors. So I said I just came back from that department I stood in two lines & hVe waited for over an hr, after I was told to come back here twice. She said well George is the one that can help you. I said is he a manager, department head what is he? She said an employee that knows about that. I said so heās the only one bc they paged him & I waited 30+ minutes and then I was told to come here & now your sending me back? Her reply well thatās all I can do send you to george. Iāve never been so irritated no Iām sorry for your trouble. I canāt believe with as busy as they are that they only have āone employeeā that can help with that service. So as of now, they canāt install dishwashers, garage doors, or stoves that I am personally aware of. Very, very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only reason I rated Home Depot with one star is there wasnāt a choice for a negative rating.
I went to the store on the 20th of February to order a new back door that featured a x-large dog door pre-installed. I explained that I needed the store installers to come install the door for me.
The man helping me didnāt know what he was doing and was not able to work the computer program to order the door. I ended up at customer service and they finished out the sale.. I was told that the door would take 4 to 6 weeks to come in because they did not stock it on the store.
6 weeks later, not having heard from Home Depot, I called checking on my order. I spoke to a very rude woman that treated me like I was bothering her. She told me the door wasnāt in yet, and that it had to be reordered, because they ordered the wrong size. I was unable to go into the store for a couple of days to talk to someone face to face.
I finally made it to the store about a week later. Come to find out, Home Depot cancelled my order, kept my money, and failed to notify me. Apparently, in order to have a door installed you need to place an order for someone to come out and take measurements, which made since. Cancelling the Oder didnāt!. The installer came out and took his measurements. The door that I ordered was the correct size, they just needed to know what other materials were needed to install the door.
Mind you, this whole time, I have had to pin my dogs up in my bathroom. I work from midnight to noon, so you can imagine the result of having to do this..
We reordered the door and again I was told that it would take about 4 weeks to come in. They lady I talked to was very apologetic and assured me I wouldnāt have any more problems.
About 4 weeks later, I received a call from the installer saying my door was in and that the first chance for them to install it was the 28th of May. I work holidays so when the installer said the 28th of May, I didnāt question it. I just agreed to the appointment and was told that they would see me at 1:30 that afternoon.
The appointment day rolled around and I came racing home to meet the installer. The installer never showed.
I went to the store, yesterday afternoon, to speak to a manager. The manager confirmed that the installer made the appointment for the 28th but never showed up to sign out materials. She was very apologetic and told me that she would email the installer to find out what happened I was told the installer would contact me, and that she couldnāt guarantee when they could reschedule my install.
It is now after 2!the next afternoon. I have yet to even hear from the installer.
All I want is what I paid for. I want my door, I want my door installed, and I want it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove going to The Home Depot! They honor us Vets and offer a discount! Thank you! We appreciate that! That being said, Missing Stop Sign and Negligence at The Home Depot. I am writing this to express my deep concern and frustration regarding a hazardous situation that has persisted at this location. I had a close call with a potential accident due to the absence of a stop sign and the improper condition of another on the premises of The Home Depot. The incident took place at the intersection next to Raising Canes near on Depot property. To my astonishment, there was a complete lack of a stop sign on one side of the intersection, while the other stop sign was visibly bent halfway down. This dangerous situation not only poses a significant risk to customers but also jeopardizes the safety of pedestrians and other road users in the vicinity.
Immediately following the incident, I reported the matter to the corporate office, and I was informed that the General Manager would be notified. However, it has now been over a month, and no visible action has been taken to rectify this issue. This lack of prompt response and failure to address such a critical safety concern raises serious doubts about the managerial deficiencies at this location. All they need to do is install a new stop sign at the missing location or, at the very least, paint a thick line across the pavement with the word "stop" on it. Additionally, the damaged stop sign must be repaired or replaced promptly to ensure the safety of customers and the general public. As a loyal customer of The Home Depot, I have always appreciated the quality of your products and services. However, this incident has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the level of attention given to customer safety and satisfaction.
I do need to input this!!
Apparently The Home Depot has put up stop signs!! They look professionally...
