Well, I tried it and was not impressed with the "testing the market foods" one may think these foods are just more natural or supports farmers etc... maybe?
But the lack of market and health information on these foods appear to be no better than major grocery chains and dare I say worse?
Here's some info for ya to swallow and my reasons for concern.
There have been several recent food recalls at Aldi stores in the US. Here's a summary of some of the most notable ones: Recent Recalls (July 2025): Various Produce (Anaheim peppers, Cilantro, Cubanelle peppers, Cucumbers, Green beans, Bell Peppers, Habanero peppers, Hungarian Wax peppers, Jalapeno Peppers, Mustard greens, Poblano peppers, Serrano peppers, Tomatillos): These products have been part of an expanded recall due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall affects products sold in a number of states, including some Freshire Farms branded produce sold at Aldi. Affected Freshire Farms products: 16 oz bag Green Beans, 8 oz bag Jalapeños. Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos: Recalled due to possible metal contamination. Affected 20-oz boxes (UPC 4061459337471) have best-by dates of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25. Park Street Deli Pork Carnitas: Also pulled due to metal contamination. Affected 16-oz trays (UPC 4099100029352) had use-by dates of 06/30/25 and 07/01/25. Atlantic Salmon Portions with Seafood Stuffing: Recalled due to undeclared soy. Casa Mamita Churro Bites (Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Filled): Recalled due to undeclared milk. Welby Vitamin B12: Recalled due to undeclared peanuts. General Advice for Recalls: Check your pantry/fridge/freezer: Always check the UPC codes and best-by/use-by dates on any products you have that match the recalled items. Do not consume: If you have an affected product, do not eat it. Return for a refund: You can typically return recalled items to your local Aldi store for a full refund, even without a receipt in many cases. Stay informed: For the most up-to-date information, it's always best to check the official Aldi US product recall page on their website or the FDA's recall website. Please remember that recall information can change, so it's always a good idea to verify with official sources if you have specific concerns...
Read moreI went into this place to get a few items and then realized that there may be a few deals that I wanted to grab. Not thinking of it I took the cart with me to grab an add. What I found out later to be the store manager came and stated that I needed to get back into the store and then called the police. Another customer had came to ask her a question about the add and for some help and she refused to help them and stated that the only person working the register would help her. At this point we both realized she was on the phone with the police. The other customer returned the items and the assistant manager tried to ring up an item that was not even hers. We left but forgot a drink that we came into the store with. As my passenger went to get the drink the police then pulled behind me seeing as though I was thinking they where trying to get past I pulled up some to the side. Then I pulled over and they asked about a disturbance. I advised the cop of the situation advised that there was no store disturbance. I asked her for her name and she gave me a different name than the one on the reciept the Corprate number was supposed to call but never received follow up. I will not spend any more time or money at this...
Read moreOn the Day and Time I went they weren't as busy as Friday and the weekends and they had a lot more stock compared to the previous trip to Aldi. Every Walmart and other Food Market has a noticeable supply chain problem getting there products and supplies The check out clerk was exceptionally nice and friendly ( makes checkout seem more quicker and less stressful if you're ever shopped there you know you have bag your own stuff and either bring your bags or buy bags from them or hope they have extra boxes which they normally do (now don't fret too much over this if you've shopped at any grocery stores in California they all charge for their bags 25 cents per bag back in 2019 when I was there however the bags are thicker and can be reused unlike these cheap plastic the use in the stores here in Texas, seems I always get the ones with small holes in the seams on the bottom of the bags or the rip apart Any who it keeps the prices reasonable at Aldi think of them like a big club wearhouse store like Sam's...
