I placed a frame order or December 10. I gave them time over Christmas because I thought they would be busy. On my receipt, it stated that I was to receive my order completed on December 20. The store manager took my order because the framing manager wasnât there that day.
I have visited the store 4 more times and I still donât have a frame or glass. My mat came in after January 1st and I worked with the framer in work area to put my print in the mat and mount it to the foam core. On that day, the frame came on broken. There was no glass. For a second time, it was never shipped.
I called and spoke to the manager and she said she would reorder the glass. It never came. This week I worked to build a frame from scratch. I cut down wood, put it together, and painted it. That took more than 24 hours after work to finish it. I had to spend all of my free time after work to make it. Then I had to call multiple stores to find someone who could cut a piece of plexiglass for me. I finally finished my own frame yesterday around 8 p.m.
I would never take anything to Michaelâs and get it framed. When I placed my order on December 10, I had to pay for it all in full. I have yet to receive a refund. And I have asked for one. The owner didnât do anything with my owner until I showed up after the completion date and then I had to go back or call to be sure anything was done. I will not take down this review until I get my refund and I will continue to add...
Read moreOriginally I went in to find brackets for a homemade picture frame. The gentleman convinced me of a different method for securing the mirror than what I preferred, Michaelâs didnât carry the hardware for how I originally wanted to complete the project. I agreed to bring the frame in later that day for Michaelâs to complete it. The gentleman never provided a time frame, only if I brought in this huge frame Michaelâs would take care of it. It took me awhile to drive back home, load the huge frame, 5âX4â, into my Jeep and drive back up. Granted I had to do a few honey do projects before going back to Michaelâs. When I arrived, with shopping cart full of my project, a lady informed me that the gentleman was gone for the day. She advised that she didnât know when he was going to be back, so I shouldnât leave the frame at the store (I offered to leave it there so he could work on it and then call me when it was completed). The lady said that she was generally the closer and that she did not know how to do my project. When I attempted to explain the project she just kept telling me that they were going to close in 30 minutes and that she didnât have time. Thatâs fine, I have options on where I can go and shop. Next time I will choose wisely and not...
Read moreBuyers of Plannerdom beware! Product fail. I purchased the cute "C'est la vie" canvas tote that was in the planner section. Apparently a planner is the Only thing it is designed to carry! Nothing over 2lbs should go in this bag! I had quickly stuck my notary book and stamp, a,small make up bag, and a bottle of water to take into my office. Well I put the bag over my shouldand BOTH STRAPS break! The straps were only sewn in with one seem. Were not reinforced properly to handle wear and tear of Plannerdom. So as cute as this bag is it is not designed for anything over 6lbs overva long period of time. Product Fail!! It might work for say a knitting or crochet or lightweight needlecraft project bag. And if someone with a good sewing machine reinforces the stitching it may last...maybe. Cute but fail! Hopefully I can return it for...
