love the store itself, especially bulk. some employees are kinda condescending and borderline pretentious about the self-checkout machines. those things are completely unpredictable in my experience so far, literally had two out of four items scanned and in a bag and it told me to “wait for assistance.” i did, and i joked with the lady who came over, that i had no idea what i did, and she proceeded to say nothing and scan my other items as if i didn’t know how to do it, she handed me the first item and i went to go put it in the bag i had started, and she took them out of my hand and said “no, do not bag them.” ??? okay… i completely understand finicky machines, but we’re BOTH new to these. a little humor and sympathy goes a long way.
had a similar experience the second time with a different lady. the machine quite literally said “remove items from bagging area,” i did, and it told me to wait for assistance. the lady who came over, didn’t say a word, just grabbed my bag, and put it back in the tiny bagging area, and said something like “keep it there,” before she...

Read moreWent shopping with a good friend and decided to share one cart since the store was really busy. We only had about 21 items total between us — mostly small things like gravy packets, canned goods, and lunch meat. When we got to self-checkout, we were told we couldn’t use it because there were “too many items,” even though it was two separate orders. I’d understand if we had a full cart, but this just felt like a lack of common sense. We ended up leaving and going to Walmart instead — prices are about the same now anyway since walmarts doing the rollbacks. Most of the staff are nice, but the way this was handled really didn’t make sense, especially when we were just trying to be considerate. So unless your after the bulk items and you are still looking for a quick in and out I wouldn't...
