Rating two stars because of the experience.
We went there for dinner with my family. We called ahead and were told that gluten free pasta was an option and they use olive oil to saute, which is important as my wife has a wheat and soy allergy.
Once seated it was a struggle to ask for a cup of water with a lid and straw for a child. The high chair provided was broken.
We ordered appetizers and they proceeded to bring them out and set them right in front of a baby. My brother arrived a bit late and had to ask for water three times.
They were out of the wine my father tried to order, no big deal. You are out of things at times.
We ordered and after about ten minutes( two or three other tables in the restaurant) they came out to let my mother know they were out of spinach. I heard them tell another table that before we ordered.
They then brought out my son’s order. They were out of fries, so just brought extra chicken strips instead.
As our food arrived they then decided to tell my wife that the dish she ordered had wheat in it( she made them aware of the allergies before ordering) We then asked what else is safe and that is when they also said they were out of the gluten free pasta.
Here is a list of what they were out of. The wine, spinach, fries, gluten free pasta, soap in o e of the men’s room dispensers and paper towels in the men’s room.
The table cloth was dirty when we sat down, there was just another smaller cloth on top that did not hide it all.
The service was very bad, the food was decent. In my opinion my spaghetti noodles were overcooked and were mushy. The sauce was ok, a little sweet. Meatballs were fine.
My parents say they have had good meals here before. I am not convinced anyone at this restaurant cares about their product or service.
The good news was the best seat in the house sign was there in the men’s room from when this was a bar at least...
Read moreWe went to Amore Italian restaurant this evening around 5:45pm. We were excited because we have been wanting some good Italian food for awhile!! The parking lot was packed when we got there! We had to park next door at Braums! When we 1st walked into the restaurant the smell of garlic in the air greeted us! As we stood inside the door and looked around it looked clean and bright. We ended up standing there close to 5 minutes as wait staff walk around, never making eye contact. I finally walked up to what looked like the hostess station and asked if we were supposed to set ourselves? She said I think there's a list somewhere, I don't know I don't work at this station! I said I don't either, can you get someone to help us!! Another person walking by said I'll put you on the list!! Great! We finally got on a list. As people started leaving I assumed we would be seated soon. And eventually we were seated. Our waitress took our drink order, and was gone for almost 20 minutes. She came back apologized for the wait, but explained she was helping out in the kitchen. She took our order and left. We never saw her again!! The man , wondering around the dining room doing miscellaneous duties brought out our food. A nice person clearing tables as people left brought us refills on our beverages at our request. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo- paying the extra $8 for the chicken. My husband ordered Lasagna. My chicken was tough and rubbery, I did not eat it. The fettuccine was bland, almost tasteless. My husband did not like his Lasagna either. I tasted it, the sauce would have made a great tomato bisque soup but left a lot to be desired as Lasagna. So sadly our 1st visit to Amore Italian restaurant, will also...

The restaurant was not full and there were many staff persons visible in the dining room. After being seated we waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to take our beverage order. Several minutes later another staff member asked if anyone had waited on our table. The proprietor then came running over to take our order including our beverage order again. Several minutes later the water and tea were brought to the table. For lunch we ordered chicken piccata, sausage pazzola, a house salad, an Italian salad, and one iced tea. The food arrived quickly after the order was placed. We requested grated cheese and red pepper flakes. Several minutes later the cheese shaker was presented with the promise that pepper flakes would soon be brought. They were never brought to the table. Halfway through the meal another staff person asked if we wanted bread with the meal. It was brought hot from the oven after several more minutes. One would think fresh hot rolls would be an unexpected delight, but not in this case. These were presented without any spread, such as butter. Too little, too late would be an appropriate description if it wasn’t more appropriate for when another staff person while holding another basket of rolls with butter tucked in the side asked if we needed more rolls. I could excuse the poor service, the disorganized house front, and the mediocre food if the cost of the lunch two hadn’t added insult to injury. Without tip and with only one beverage ordered the total bill exceeded $60. I can’t recommend this restaurant and won’t be returning again...
