I've been to this place a couple times and the ice cream is really good and I wanted to get more tonight. So, it's 9:00 p.m., and I'm not sure that they are still open, so I Google them, and Google shows that they're still open although, it doesn't give a closing time. I go up there and the place is clearly still open, there's a line of people still waiting to order and there's people behind me still trying to come in and the person at the door refuses any more customers and says that they're closed!!!! I am mind blown that any company would refuse customers like that. How are you ever going to make money if you refuse customers? So, not only was I upset but all the people that were behind me trying to get in, they were all upset too and probably half of those people will not be going back. Funny thing is that after that I went on the Uber eats app and ordered it from them and it's expected to be delivered at 10:20 p.m. so that's weird how they still caterer to delivery service but not to actual customers, unbelievable, not very impressed. Really pisses me off too because I had to pay an extra $3 menu price for the ice cream I wanted, $4 delivery charge, and $3 tip because of ordering it on Uber eats instead of the $7 price I would have paid just going to the store. So, I guess I'll have to find another ice cream place to go to that actually wants to serve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first experience at Palacana started off with me feeling somewhat ambivalent, because the place was empty of customers and the temperature inside wasnāt much cooler than the 97 degree temperature outside. My wife and some of her colleagues were meeting there for dinner and she had invited me to join them and I love my wife, so I didnāt want to make a scene about the uncomfortable environment and walk out. Note, I was one of the first of the party to arrive there and except for one couple the only customer. When the other party arrived they too commented on the warm environment. Thatās why I gave only 3 stars. However, the food and service deserve a 5 star rating. Wow! I had the tacos with the red seasoning chicken, (Sorry! Donāt know how to properly pronounce it in Spanish) but the dish was amazingly delicious and flavorful. Also, soon after we sat down to wait for our order the place started filling up with customers and within minutes was nearly full to capacity, but I digress. I also shared with my wifeās order and herās was just as yummy! The price was fair for the food and service, but some might think it was too high. We sat under the fans and ate, which made the temperature tolerable, and with the exception of the heat and pesky flies the experience was worth a future visits. My ambivalence was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've only been here twice & have only tried their burrito suave and it's very good but I probably won't go back because of the service. My first time there, I waited for about half hour for a torta, burrito and fries. When I asked for an update, it seemed they had forgotten to send my order to the kitchen but didn't say so. I brushed it off as a one time thing. Today I went during my lunch break and for only a burrito,I waited a little more than 20 mins. The kicker is, I saw when the kitchen staff put my bag up on the window for front staff to grab. It sat there for at least five minutes before a cashier grabbed it. She looked at the receipt & placed it on the counter, so I thought maybe it was a DoorDash order. After about another 10 minutes and my lunch break nearly over, I went up to the register to ask to cancel my order. The cashier said sheād go check in my order, saw the bag sitting on the counter and said, āoh itās hereā⦠no apology or anything for unnecessarily making me wait that whole time. Iām pregnant and was hungry and didnāt even have time left to eat my lunch, had to wait until after work once it was cold and soggy. I wish I had insisted on my refund and left the burrito, I wonāt...
