Really, really disappointed. Looking through the reviews (food is always either great or terrible), I have to wonder if they only have decent kitchen coverage half the time. If thatās the case - we got the bad half tonight.
First the good. The atmosphere is nice: the music mix was good and not too loud to have a conversation, the place was pretty clean including the bathrooms, and the service was friendly enough. Beer menu was decent, though it would have been nice to have prices on it. As a bar to meet friends for a quick beer, this place is probably fine.
But we came in for dinner. We were excited since weāve been to NY several times and loved the food. I got the Bronx Bomber sandwich and my husband got the chicken parm.
$14 sandwiches donāt come with chips or a side. You can pay an extra buck for chips, but that feels cheap and weird. Maybe just charge me $15 for a meal if thatās what it takes? My sandwich also didnāt come on a plate. Instead I got a huge basket liner on a tiny tray, like youād get at a fast food place.
As it was delivered, my sandwich was already sliding apart into a mess due to the sheer insane quantity of aioli Mayo on the thing. Like, Iām from the Midwest, so please understand when I say too much Mayo, weāre talking about heart attack causing levels. Like tablespoons too much. On both sides of the bread.
But according to the menu, this sandwich wasnāt even supposed to have aioli Mayo, but balsamic oil. Which it also had. The combined flavors werenāt great. And thatās when I could manage to get a bite of the thing. It was difficult because the huge quantity of condiments made the toppings slide and ooze out of the bread every time I tried.
To make matters worse, the bread was not, as the menu promised, āartisan,ā or the crusty type one would expect, but plain old under-cooked grocery store French bread. As it had not been toasted or warmed, and the sandwich is served cold, the bread was extra chewy and made the whole annoying escaping meat more problematic.
This is really too bad, because under the off-putting condiments, the other ingredients seemed to be good quality. Iām a sucker for high quality deli meat and good crusty bread and this sandwich should have been exactly my thing, if a bit pricy for the portions.
My husbandās chicken parm wasā¦fine. Again, what should have been a good meal was let down by poor preparation. The pasta was properly cooked but not drained, so the bowl had that lovely layer of gross-looking water at the bottom you expect from school lunches. His chicken was dried out around the edges - either from sitting too long under a warmer, or over cooked.
We wondered if maybe we made a mistake ordering anything but pizza. Sometimes you should only order whatās in the name. But then we watched a table near us get a pizza andā¦no. The small slices were really floppy and showed no browning on the bottom...

My wife and I recently visited Bronx Pizza and Pints for a delightful evening of delicious pizza and wings, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the bartender, Paul, who instantly made us feel at home.
The pizza at Bronx Pizza and Pints is hands down the best in town! Every bite was a burst of flavors and the perfect combination of crispy crust, gooey cheese, and mouthwatering toppings. It's clear that they take great pride in their craft and use high-quality ingredients to create their masterpieces.
Speaking of wings, our kids absolutely adored the wings with the bang bang sauce! The sauce had just the right amount of spice and tanginess, making it a perfect match for the crispy and tender wings. It's now their favorite spot for wings, and we find ourselves heading to the Bronx just for that!
The atmosphere at Bronx Pizza and Pints is vibrant and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, and Paul, the bartender, made our visit even more enjoyable. He was fun, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. It's the kind of service that makes you want to keep coming back.
In addition to the incredible food and great service, the prices at Bronx Pizza and Pints are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. You definitely get excellent value for your money.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by for the first time tonight! The service was pretty great, and it was wonderful getting to chat with one of the owners! It was great to hear that most of the ingredients for their menu are made in house by hand!
The dine in environment is enjoyable. I felt comfortable spending time there and would want to dine in again. Our waitress was a little intermittent, but things got busy while we were there so that's understandable. She was more than kind and made sure our cups were full.
We ordered the fried ravioli, pizza, and a meatball sandwich. The food was great! This is some of the best pizza sauce we have ever had! The fried ravioli wasn't heavy feeling and had plenty of cheese filling. The pizza crust was crispy yet chewy and allowed the flavors from the cheese, sauce, and toppings to come through. Further, the texture of thecrust, sauce, cheese, and slightly crisped edges of the pepperoni were wonderful! The meatballs are made using what is referred to as "Grandma's recipe) and they are phenomenal! My wife doesn't like meatballs, and she tried one and said "if I had to eat a meatball, this would be the one." Once again, the sauce is the star of the show here!
Come hungry, as the portions here are quite large! We will definitely be back! This has become our favorite...
