I order to go. My protein was chicken. Doubled because the protein portions are small. It was around 9pm when I entered the restaurant. I didn't eat until midnight or later because we'd had a late lunch that day. I took some of the food out of the Chipotle container, placed it in a bowl, and heated it in the microwave. I took one bite and the chicken was burnt!! So I looked at the chicken I could see remains in the Chipotle container it all looked the same. My husband heated up his whole container to eat. After several bites, each one that had chicken in it tasted burnt. He was so disgusted he threw it in the trash. I refrigerated mine and the next evening I took it back. I spoke with the manager about it and asked for a refund. His response was, "I was here last night and there was no burnt chicken served. We close at 11p. You should've brought it back last night and we could've re-made it. There's nothing I can do about it." I informed him: 1) We didn't eat our food until after midnight and you were closed. 2) When I ordered, the pan of chicken was full, appeared to have been recently filled, and the whole pan looked dark. 3) However, I didn't think Chipotle would serve anything tasting burnt. Then he said, "You could've asked for more chicken and we would've brought some out." WOW!! There is no way that whomever cooked that chicken didn't know it was burnt. And for that matter there is no way the manager didn't know either. I tried to give this location a chance after I complained August 2024 about another location (Greenwich) for old ingredients and the server was actually "throwing" the ingredients into the containers! The serving station was filthy. There was food all on the outside of my containers. I asked the cashier (an older woman) if she could clean the outside of my containers. Before she cleaned them, she stated, "He's a mess." I asked her if a manager was available? She replied, "Yeah, but we got swamped earlier because of a tournament in the area." WOW!! I didn't know when I ordered that my food would taste old, chips stale, nor salsa with tomatos tthat looked as if they'd been sitting for days, tasted bland. Chipotle Customer Relations is a joke! For the complaint in 2024 and just recently, they tried to offer me "two free entrees". I refused and requested a refund. I still haven't received a refund from the first complaint in August of 2025. For this complaint, how about the representative I spoke with said I should've taken my burnt chicken bowl back the same night. And he doesn't think a refund would be approved. He said that I can wait for an email. CHIPOTLE IS ABSOLUTELY OFF OF MY LIST!!!! HOW ABOUT THOSE WHO'VE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES? I gave one star because I had to select. Otherwise, "0"...
Read moreI recently went to this Chipotle at 9:30p on a Friday night. We had just had a large thunderstorm that had come through town so the restaurant only had my family and one other customer in line. The person in front of us paid for his food and a minute later he came back in and politely asked if they had a broom or something that he could use because he had something wedged under his car from the storm and he needed to get it out. There were six employees in the restaurant and the woman he spoke to said let me ask my manager, so she came over to the “manager” and told him the situation. He replied with a “no, just tell him we don’t have one.” Which she did. The man was taken back by the situation and so my husband graciously offered to go and help him. When they left the restaurant I proceeded to tell the employees in a respectful tone that they should be ashamed of themselves. The response I received I was eye rolls and not one of them offered any type of explanation. When my daughter went back up to the register to ask for something she was completely ignored and they literally stood there refusing to help her. This is not surprising, but I was very very...
Read moreChipotle food is Chipotle. You know what you're getting. The trouble I have is the messy environment and lack of acknowledgement from the staff. I know this is a busy location, but that also means all hands on deck. Cleaning, greeting customers, helping customers, etc.
At 8:30p on a Sunday, I should be seeing and hearing 3-4 employees standing in the food prep area laughing while 6 people are in line not getting help. I'm not against having fun and enjoying your work environment, but you're still at work. At least say "we'll be with you in a moment!" I also acknowledge that I don't work nor have I ever worked at a Chipotle so I don't know if those making online orders are able to help walk-ins.
Also, there appeared to be an issue with the door latch and there was receipt paper tapped over it. It is not a good look. If there is an issue out of a businesses control, you need to do your best to make it look presentable. Also, I always end up sweating while waiting in line and ordering.
Love you Chipotle. Please look into making this location...
