Taco Shop — Restaurant in Wichita

We came here about 2 years ago, and something was off, not sure if it was the lady who helped us at the drive through, the food, or what, but it was just not good. So we didn't go back. There wasn't really one thing to point to, to say "This wasn't good."

My mother and wife went to the location across town this past week and said it was really good, so we decided to give this location another go, and I am glad we did. We went in this time.

It wasn't busy inside, but being 8pm and cold that might explain part of it. The drive through was pretty busy though. Several cars in line when we arrived and as we were leaving.

The menu board was bright, and didn't have burnt images of menu items, the staff was welcoming, the 80s rock was loud enough to hear what was playing (and sing along if you wanted 😁 ), but not too loud to overpower you conversation. I was getting that 80s/90s DelTaco/Taco Bell feel, but better!

My wife had the taco salad and enchilada with a horchada drink and I had the Value Meal 2 (Original Taco, Bean Tostada, Taco Burger, and Regular Drink). Everything was fresh, especially the bun, it was soft and fluffy.

Today my experience through the drive-thru was not very five stars at all. I would give it a zero if I could. The guy working the window hands me my sack and then I continue to sat there waiting for the rest of my food. For him to look at me for a response of why am I still sitting at the window with my reply. Still waiting for my drink and the rest of my food. With his response well I didn't sack it. So I get my drink then I have to ask again for the rest of my food items which I get one and not the other. He was Rude to where he could have just got the items and I would have been on my way for him to help the next customer .So I guess I just drive off to go and enjoy what I do have since today was just too much work for them. Will I go back? Yes anytime soon probably not. Last time this happened the girl that was working at the window was pleasant and nice and apologized and she just got me the items that were missing.
