Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Wichita

We have eaten at many of the HW locations around town. This one has the best food, when they're on. About 10% of the time, they're garbage.

Yesterday's visit was the most disappointing we have experienced at any HW location in time.

We ordered a loaded baked potato with pulled pork and a 3 meat dinner with ribs, pulled pork, chicken, fries, beans and added a third sided of mac and cheese. We specified that the chicken needed to be on a separate plate due to a food allergy.

After an unusually long wait, I went to stand near the counter as we were the only folks waiting for our food. I noticed that our order had the chicken was on the same place, along with several things that the chicken cannot come into contact with.

I notified the dude prepping the food that it had to be on a separate plate. He turned to fix another plate and a lady came up and prepared the exact same plate, the exact same was as it was the first time. The first guy corrected her and send me on my way with the tray.

When I got to the table, my wife informed me that the potato did not have any pulled pork on it. Back to the counter we go. When I finally got to arranging my kiddos meal, it was discovered that the fries were missing. Back to the counter for the fries. I FINALLY got to take a bite of my own food, only to realize that the texas toast was missing as well. Back to the counter for the final time.

Can someone at this location PLEASE exhibit a little leadership and make sure that the food that is ordered is the food that ends...

Ordered take out today. About 3:20pm. We ordered 2 meat family deal plus added a lb of hot links. We drove home to Goddard. Turns out we should’ve opened our bag. We ended up with no hot links and instead, another man’s open faced sandwich with mashed potatoes. We called to let them know we were coming back. We weren’t rude, just mater of fact. When we got there a young girl offered to help, she went to get a supervisor, when the manager lady appeared. Rude lady interrupted the little girl, said “they called”. The manager took the food back, from me and said yes we put it in the wrong bag. Then turned her back to me. There was no, I’m sorry, or let us fix that for you, nothing. Then gives me my hot links with no, apology, and nothing for our inconvenience. So I asked the little girl, is there nothing for our inconvenience, as we drove back to Wichita. She asked the manager, who had already disappeared. We weren’t rude offered 1 apple pie slice. It’s a family order!! Anyway, I love Hog Wild, especially this one, but SOMEONE needs customer service lessons. Also if she was a nicer person to be around, the rest of the team would benefit too. The little girl was so much more welcoming to deal...

Worst location to get ribs. I or someone else in my home has had the ribs from here at least 15 times (all together). Each time we got the 1/2 slab that has around 1/3rd of it that is completely inedible. It's the greasy, overly dried shoe-leather end that has no meat in it. They told me they save the "good" 1/2 for cutting individual ribs for the rib & fries basket and for multi-meat dishes with ribs. You'd think they'd save that half for the people who are spending more money on their dinners (the rib dinner is more expensive than any other on their menu). I'll take the longer drive to the location on south West St. They don't screw over their customers like this location does. We've also received pulled pork that was obviously reheated in a microwave, which makes it...
