We had a party of 10 going to eat at this pizza ranch so we called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us and they said they would have our table ready. When we arrived nobody knew what was going on, the staff were arguing about where to seat us, so finally one girl who worked there said for us to just sit in the reserved seating area since their was nobody scheduled for that space the rest of the day. There was about an hour left to closing so there wasn’t much time and being the good employee she is, was just trying to sit us so we could move on with our lives and eat. A blonde girl then comes in with her clipboard asking who sat us here and asked if it was “that short Mexican girl,” then precedes to tell me we can’t sit in there even though all 6 children under the age of 15 and 4 adults were already sitting to eat. She leaves to “figure it out.” Little did she know we weren’t moving either way, I was just letting her do what she had to with her little clipboard. Staff kept walking by where we were sitting and giving us dirty looks like we did something terribly wrong. Then a fake red head walks in and says to my whole family “You all have 15 minutes to get out of here,” and walks away like a coward. I went to that little girl and told her she had no right to speak to us that way, she responds, “I said it to you exactly how my manager told me to tell you.” I ask to speak to this manager. So in walks manager Caleb (he was hiding in the back) and I ask him if he’s the manager because he wasn’t wearing any badge identifying who he was, I then ask him what is the problem here. He tells me it was a “miscommunication” and that he told the fake red head to tell us “to politely leave.” Not sure why we needed to be told to leave and to this day I don’t know why, we did absolutely nothing wrong other than sitting and eating our food, I guess those reserved rooms are extra special because they have doors, I don’t know. Manager Caleb offers me a gift card for a future visit and I declined, I won’t be back so he refunded our money. One of the staff members made the comment that the manager and the red head were racists and I have to say I don’t disagree, after all we were the only ones in this establishment who were of color and nobody else was told to leave. I called corporate to speak to them regarding the discrimination and even that lady was rude asking me if I already spoke to management, I replied management was part of the problem. She tells me it’s a franchise owned company and that the owner will be getting ahold of me soon. That was 2 months ago and still nothing so it seems nobody cares about the way we were treated at pizza ranch. That was my first and last visit to this place,...
Read morePizza Ranch Needs to do better. We have attempted to eat at the 21st street location twice now. The first time we ate there was in May 29th for our daughters birthday. The tables were filthy. The tables and floors were COVERED in trash and food. It was so bad. My jaw hit the floor. I hadn't ever seen a place of business so trashed before. We had already paid so we decided to eat. The pizza was TERRIBLE. It was old and freezing cold. Yesterday July 21st we decided to give it a second chance, as our son got baptized and wanted to eat there. The place was PACKED. Once again trashy and the staff were EXTREMELY rude. We paid for 9 people.... that's a pretty bill for pizza. We were taken back to a room with several tables. We sat down at 2. The young waitress by the name of Nikki wasn't happy about this and demanded that we move to only one table immediately. I went to the front to talk to the staff and they asked me multiple time how many people were in my party. Then had the nerve to tell me "just pull up another chair" when there were several tables empty. They even went in and put "reserved" signs on he tables so we wouldn't use them when they weren't reserved. I had to argue with the girl in the front to get another table. Finally I was told with an attitude "just take the one across from you." Nikki was upset about this and stood outside of the room and bashed / bad mouthed us loud enough that we could overhear what she was saying. This is absolutely disgusting service. I am appalled and would really expect better from a place playing Christian music overhead.... from any place really. I 10/10 do not recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't take my dog there to dine and definitely will not...
Read moreI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Pizza Ranch at 21st and Tyler has the best fried Chicken around. I know… I know… “But they’re a pizza place!” It’s not my fault they got the name wrong. It should be called Chicken Ranch! The only thing better than their fried chicken is the hospitality and work ethic of Donnie (Dir of Sales/ Marketing) and the rest of the staff. I order corporate catering meals (fried chicken and all the fixings) there frequently because it’s such a hit. But I rarely ever make it in the store to eat myself. Well, today I did. The lady (didn’t catch her name) working the register was very nice and even gave the elderly couple ahead of me unsolicited advice that there is a daily senior discounted buffet 2pm-4pm. I was there before the lunch rush so I sat in a section that was completely empty. As soon as I took my seat, Mirage came right up to me to introduce herself as my server and made a cute joke about how I picked the good section because it was the “party” section. Even though there was no one else in her section at the time, I never saw Mirage stop moving. She was burning holes in the carpet between keeping an eye on her section, cleaning anything she could find, and doing the same to help the server, Tyler, in the section next to hers. As her section began to fill up, nothing changed. She was on her A game! I witnessed the same level of awareness and diligence from the staff working behind the buffet bar to keep the food options full and tidying up when there was nothing else to do. This location runs like a well-oiled machine and the hard work that the staff...
