My wife and I love chicken wings, and when we choose to order, we always think first of Buffalo Wild Wings. We think, by far, they have the best wings flavors and a decent price on quality wings.
The two stars I gave it have been all for the food. Aside from that, we have had some bad experiences at this location. We always order online, and last fall, we placed an order online for large-size traditional wings. When we picked it up, they were 15 minutes late fulfilling the order (-after the ready window they provided) and I got home to realize they actually prepared a medium order. When I called the restaurant to speak with someone, there was no manager available to speak with, so I left a message. When the manager called back the next day, I explained the situation with our last nights order, and said if we could get a refund for the difference in price between a medium and large, that would be fine. He insisted that they would offer us a full refund for the order and provided us a gift card for the next order to be ā on themā. I was not expecting that, but was very pleased they cared so much about our experience. I gave the manager my name, address, and phone number and he said we should see a refund in a couple days and a gift card in the mail. A week passed and I didnāt see either. I called back to check on the refund, and was told that it must have slipped through the cracks, and they would put it in right away and we should see it in 2-3 days. The time passed, and still nothing on either front. This game of tag continued for a few weeks until I finally decided the $5 wasnāt worth the time, and we stopped ordering from BWW for a long time.
Recently, after about 6 months, we ordered online and tried again. The food is great, but the service still isnāt great and the food takes forever. If my food will take 45 minutes to prepare, please be upfront about it. No one likes to sit and wait for takeout...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just had a bizarre experience at the Monroeville Buffalo Wild Wings. I'm not a a big fan of chain restaurants in general but I've been to a few different Buffalo wild wings on a few different occasions and had nothing but good service. Today was an exception l. First, we walked in and there were three staff members standing, no clear area to check in, and no one addressed us at all. Finally, after consulting with other patrons, I learned that a table of two and a table of three had put their names in ahead of us. I was able to get someone's attention. The staff person tried to take my name, but was interrupted by another staff person who said she would take care of it. She didn't. We waited while she proceeded over the next five minutes to seat the table of three at a table meant for 8 and the table of two at a table meant for five. Finally, the hostess came to take my name. I said "we have five and will sit anywhere". She said "it will probably be 15-20 minutes". This seemed more than reasonable. There was no one waiting ahead of us and a few people had just walked in and lined up behind us. Then another staff person (I'm assuming manager) came over and asked the hostess how many we had. Reminder: we had 5 and NO ONE ahead of us. He said "it will probably be an hour and a half". I politely questioned why so long since there were tables clearly finishing and w head 5 with no one else waiting. He said "sorry, at least an hour and a half". I think it's more than reasonable to believe that when there were able to seat the people in front of an us quickly and there was no one else in queue that SOMEONE would have left the restaurant in the next 15-30 or even 46 minutes. But an hour and a half???!?! I don't know why he was so disinterested in seating us or giving a reasonable estimate but it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read more0/5 I came in briefly just as a self care day away from SI and attempting to visit a new food place. Itās not an ideal place due to the fact I donāt eat chicken, but I googled their menu which showed some basic healthy salads.
Unfortunately, the opportunity to sit down to order a salad, drinks, watch a game, or even engage with staff was quickly shut down. I left as fast I walked through the second door the moment I caught a whiff of the place. As soon as I walked into the restaurant the odor was nearly face-slappingly disrespectful. The combination of sweat, mildew, old mop water, and unexplainable reek made it impossible to even want to address such a concern with any type of management. Definitely has me questioning if something is rotting, if thereās mildew, if the carpets have been there since the early 1800ās because the force is strong in stench.
I donāt want to sit nor eat in a place where the smell makes me question the authenticity of the cleanliness and preparation of the food and environment. It needs more than candles, incense, or fabreze. That place needs a deep cleaning, forreal. Respectfully, I canāt even give any real stars or a reviewed experience because it literally stinks so bad walking in. (Apologies to cleaning staff, itās truly not your fault, the smell is older than Father Time.)
Dear managerātake it to corporate. Iām not filling out whatever extra link form you send in comments. Take initiative, you got it!!
Nonetheless, A bit disappointed as it was a way for me to go outside and self care. I ended up just going home and couldnāt stomach eating anything til later that night. All love though, no hate.
Til then, back to occasional home cooked meals and prep. (**Inserts sarcastic yayyyyy here.)
Iāll be back to see the growth and...
