I stopped by yesterday while visiting Kentucky. Honestly was just very disappointing. Where I’m from, Mexican is expensive but not 15.99 for Nachos expensive. (I could spend that much at a good hibachi place.) Especially when veggies aren’t cooked all the way, the tomatoes were VERY squishy and tasted rotten. I’m pretty sure they were bad, but they threw them in there anyway. There wasn’t even a lot of queso on everyone’s food. Only shredded cheese was thrown on the rice and beens, barely melted.

One of the biggest issues I had was that the servers were GLUED to their phones. They stood around with their head stuck in them the whole time. After getting our food, no one ever came back to check on us even once. So no refills and no help. It really wasn’t that fancy either to be so expensive. In the end for 5 people we spent $93. If you’re gonna charge that much, at least have decent food. Or get out of your phone and check on your customers. Plus the restaurant itself isn’t all that fancy.

The salsa bowls are also small but that’s the least of my worries lol🤣it was just super frustrating knowing my bill was gonna be at least $100 as soon as I saw the prices, and having such poor customer service! I just want what I paid for, my 100 dollars worth, and I definitely didn’t get that here.

I promise I’m not a Karen, just a...

El Dorado Mexican Restaurant in Williamsburg, KY, is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors with a friendly, inviting atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the staff who are always welcoming and attentive, making sure you feel right at home.

The menu offers a great variety, from classic tacos and enchiladas to sizzling fajitas and more adventurous options. One standout is their queso dip—it’s rich, creamy, and the perfect starter to share. The fajitas are served hot and full of flavor, with tender meat and perfectly cooked veggies. Portions are generous, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, the taco salads are also excellent and fresh.

One of the best parts of dining at El Dorado is the vibrant, colorful ambiance that gives you a true feel of Mexican culture, right in the heart of Williamsburg. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and often buzzing with locals, which is always a good sign.

Service is quick, and the staff are accommodating, making it easy to enjoy a leisurely meal or a quick bite. Overall, El Dorado is a great choice for a casual, flavorful Mexican meal, with excellent value and an atmosphere that adds to the experience. Highly recommend...

Fantastic experience. After being stuck in traffic for hours while trying to head home to Michigan, we decided to stop here. The restaurant was right by a Holiday Inn Express where we could stay the night, and they were open until late so we would be able to eat.

We arrived a little after 8pm. The restaurant had lots of people there (a full restaurant is always a good sign!) but they still had room for us to sit right away.

Staff were helpful and ready to take our orders right away. The menu has a lot of really tasting looking options. Once we finally made decisions (with help from our waiter on what choices were best), we relaxed as we waited for our food.

But… wow! The food came out SO FAST. And it was delicious! I had a margarita on the rocks. It was perfect. And I had a fajita taco salad. I’m usually disappointed by taco salads, but they are a memory from my childhood, and having fajita ingredients sounded promising. It was AWESOME! Ingredients were fresh and full of flavor.

We would definitely eat here again if...

This was a nice, average Mexican restaurant. Our male server was brusque, not quite rude, but definitely not friendly. The Hawaiian Quesadilla was huge and decent tasting. There wasn't really much pineapple in it, so it basically tasted like a chicken quesadilla. Because it was so huge, I only ate half, and got a box for the rest. My fiance ordered the chicken fajitas, and he was pleased with them. The young woman who worked there was the only one who was friendly, and the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 3. The fried ice cream was tasty, if not anything special. The decor was typical Mexican restaurant, but it was pretty clean.

Passing thru from Columbus, where we have a lot of Mexican food and culture. Our family was pleasantly surprised. Cute aesthetics and definitely a Mexican vibe on the inside. Ask for the delicious smoky spicy salsa! The steak burrito was actually good, steak was fresh and wasn’t dry. Chicken was also fresh and not dry, chorizo wasn’t greasy either. Beans were on point and not too salty, tasted homemade. Rice was just ok, but mixed well with everything. Veggies were fresh and they had many vegetable entrees, not sure if they’re vegetarian though. Everything was seared right, food portions were generous, prices were good.
