We booked our room through the internet after viewing the pictures because the pictures looked good. The price was originally around $400 for 4 nights, but they were discounted for much cheaper so we booked the room. When we arrived to check in the front staff was ok, not great but ok. There were a few comments made that made me feel like I needed to say something back but I let it slide (like for instance a staff member said the room was "safe" and that people wouldn't be staying here is they didn't like it). The front desk lady went and checked our room before we actually went in the room. She came back and said all was good and that the AC was working fine. When we entered the room there were a pair of pliers laying on the floor, the door that was joined to the room next to us didn't lock we had to actually use the pliers to turn the knob just to feel safe , I put a towel down in the bathroom tub to givey 2 yr old son a "shower" because the tub and room was so dirty I didn't trust it but while giving my some a "shower" the water wouldn't go down the drain!, The room was so nasty that I actually went to the front desk and asked for some disinfectant and a rag to clean my own room. I brought back the cleaner and the rag that was once white was turned back in to the front desk black. I only wiped down the common area I didn't even do anything extra. As we were walking down the hallway to go to our room all you smelled was marijuana and the staff member just told the person to make sure they spray air freshener (that's it!) , The pool and hot tub are closed due to covid but we just stayed at 2 other places in williamsburg that the pool was open and not closed, the floor wasn't vacuumed, the tub also had build up , there were stains all over the "couch" the door slams behind you. We had to actually change rooms early in the morning because we couldn't take a shower. The next room we were put in the fire alarm was laying on the floor, the water in the bathroom didn't even work, we were then moved to another room where the toilet didn't flush without a plunger, and you can clearly see nasty dirty stains all over the furniture and it can be cleaned it's not like it won't come off. After reading the other post I can say that I didn't smell any horrible smells inside the room and the bed was okay but they only give you sheets no real blanket. I took a walk around the place with my son just to get him out the room and on the 3rd floor there is a leak in the ceiling and they have a trash can catching the water. There is only 1 washer and dryer in the building, the elevator starts toove before the doors have closed completely. There is caution tape all outside the front entrance because they aren't keeping the maintenance up and have a lot of the building falling apart and is very dangerous. This place is very sketchy and I didn't feel...
Read moreGot to our reserved hotel room at about 10:00 pm after a long day at Busch Gardens. Room smelt horrific, like wet dog and cigarettes. I actually took pictures of the green/yellow bathtub, mold growing on the bathroom door and frame. There was hair ALL over the place, especially the bathtub (& not the kind of hair that comes from your head). My son found an opened, half full bottle of juice sitting under the bed. There was NO trash can in the room?! I was appalled at how there was obviously NO cleaning service at this hotel. Steer clear of this “hotel”, there are plenty of other hotels in the same area. FYI, the pictures displayed online look NOTHING like the actual hotel room....
Read moreThe name of the hotel was not what it was advertised as. Then when we walked in there were 3 different names posted all over. When we got to our rooms everything was run down, we had 2 towels for 3 people, our door was painted over so it barely opened or shut, the air didnt work, when we went to get in bed there was a sock in the sheets that was not ours, we left for the day and came back at 6pm and our room was still not cleaned, at 10pm when we came back for the second time the room was still not cleaned, we walked downstairs to get new towels and the...
